Let me start off by saying that i hate the Bears. Always have, always will. I hope the Pack beats them in a close game and goes on to win the SB. In the AFC, i really don't care who wins, and although i have a lot of respect for the Steelies, i'm kinda tired of them. But don't listen to me, i just finished my 30th year as a Lions season ticket holder...

Fun pictures! I really haven't got much this year. Still need to order line and spinnerbait parts, but i'm pretty well set. I was hoping that Raul would put up a few pics. Someday i'll figure it out and post a few. We older guys that have been enjoying this sport for a long time tend to have ALOT of baits.

Satan is not allowed in the state of Michigan, and Rich-rod may go anywhere as long as he leaves. Rich-rod did okay for the offense, but holy crap that defense! And couldn't you find a placekicker anywhere? Geeez! Good riddance R/R, and take your crappy assistants with you....

Sell them if you need the money, otherwise just keep them. There will come a day that you wished you would have kept them for your own "museum", or repaint them and put them back into service...

I still use baits from the 80's & 90's, so they CAN"T be old. I also still throw my old Cotton Cordell Spots (knocker style). I wish i would have bought more of Lazy Ike and Crankbait Corporation's foam cranks. (hard foam, not the Burke "flex-plugs"), although i wish i had a few more of those also. Big o's still get wet, and i miss my 3 Norman Little Scoopers.....

Wind is okay, as long as i can control the boat & fish at the same time. I hate the heat and humidity, and drenching rain, and blue skies/no wind conditions. Not catching anything after a couple of hours annoys me a little, but taking 4 or more hours (unusual) really starts to work on me. People that boat,jet ski,or paddle between me and a dock that i am fishing from 50' away don't help much either. But the worst is the ice....

The 6'3" hvy. sounds like a good rod for bottom walking crawler harnesses. I'm just sayin.....

I hope they wait at least 4 wks. before any possible turnaround. Does anyone else point and laugh at Jerry when they show him in the booth, or is it just me being a jerk? I do have a fondness for the cowboys though...they're the only team the Lions beat in the playoffs in the last 53 yrs.

Yeah..i have 2 of them,both in a bumble-bee color. Got them maybe 8 yrs. ago at a Big Lots store for about $3 each so i bought both of them. Never tried them out though, like you, they just went to the "museum".

I have used Gel-Gloss, atile and bath polishing / waxing product with great results. Works good on rods/reels too....

Yesterday i caught my biggest bass of the year on the smallest version. The area i caught it i usually throw a spinnerbait,but there was full sun and barely a ripple, and in my experiences, not good for spinbaits. I rarely use the 1-, but now i will keep it in mind...

I fish from my boat. 3 baitcast,5 spinning rigs. I use a tool caddy that holds about 12 cranks and 12 spinnerbaits, and about 12 rigged soft plastics/jigs. An old Plano magnum (double sided) carries the rest of my hardbaits. Add 4 binders for soft plastics, a 3600 for terminal tackle, and that is what i fish with. The other 65% of hardbaits stay home, as i change what i carry with the time of year. That's being as minimalist as i can be, after fishing and buying baits for over 30 years.

Tape a flyswatter to it and make a long-range fly swatter out of it. I could not fish with this rod.

I've had my M/G 54 for 8 yrs., and the only problem i have had was the rope breaking this year. It doesn't run out of juice for me. (rarely fish more than 8 hrs, and not in rivers) And i certainly don't run it into the shoreline.

I can't get through their catalog! Every single sentence ends with a ! It drives me nuts! Those of you that have seen one knows what i'm talking about! How can they print that thing without noticing!Stop it! Stop it now! See how ridiculus this is! Dang!!!

The Brat and Blue streak pretty much summed it up. I have 2 Little N's that run to the side. (one left, one right) Good for docks and sea-walls...

In no particular order: DD22 (white/olive back), Bandit flat maxx shallow (perch), Rebel deep wee-r (craw),Cordell hot spot (original 1 knocker in green coachdog) #11 floating rapala (silver& black),XPS dropshot minnows (3 colors), Kinami 4" flash (char.-white), SK bitsy tube (white), Any 4.5-7.5" plastic worm (blackgrape),and homemade spinnerbait (white skirt,gold willows).

If those eyes were yellow, i'd think that Rabble Rouser is back in business with a new bait line-up!

I haven't used mine in a couple of years, but it does go for a boatride every time i go.

There is a special place for theives and nere-do-wells. Let's hope they find it fast....
