  2. Gosh guys, can't you see this is clearly a joke? Oh yea, hahahah, lol. btw, Trev. I was joking when I said that. Hence the
  3. wow, over 11ft? I would think it'll take at least 2 weeks to get back to a "normal" level. i was really looking forward to getting into some smallie action.
  4. I hear ya Trev, just don't think i'm "disgracing" a fish when i catch them.
  5. Thanks man. have you gotten out lately? How you feeling bro? Skillet, I as well kinda learned by having to hurry up in my last few casts of the day. Once I found that out, I've just honed in on that technique and now all i really use are these lures. (and some others of course!) I had the same issue with #4's in the past. For some reason, lately they've been working. Not sure whats up with that. I always, always use the dressed versions though. Never even tried a non-dressed one. The black fury #3 is without question is one of the most productive.
  6. Yup, thats all it is man. I dont have any pics right now, but you can check thier site for pics, details, buying them and so on. You know, i do catch some nice big bluegill, shellcrackers, and crappie. If I find I'm catching too many, i usually switch up to a #4. www.mepps.com
  7. That how more than half of my strikes occur! Usually happens in the first few feet of retrieve. Thanks for letting the cat out Skillet...jk
  8. Fish pics always look better when you have someone else snap! Dang! Andrew, that's quite a brute you snagged!Good job
  9. I used to catch a ton of rock bass on the Shenandoah years back, but I've never caught any in this immediate area.
  10. Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Oh yea, AnglerNFuego, the #3 Black Fury is one of my all time fav's also.
  11. Hey guys, had 3 hours yesterday, so i went out. I ended up having a banner day as far as I'm concerned. I landed 17. One of the smaller 1lb fish One of the 2lb fish 2lbs 8oz 2lbs 10oz 3lbs 3oz 3lbs 10oz All fish were caught using Mepps Lures

  14. that double wide beaver seems to be paying off bigtime. Nice fish t-rig!
  15. Awesome fish. Did you catch it using a bluegill? I'm going out later today and I'm going to try this technique again. i used to do it as a kid, and since I've been watching your posts, i'm convinced, only real hawgs will hit that. Also, newb question here, but is it necessary to use 50Lb test? Would 25-35lb done just as good? Just curious on your setup thats all. Again, great run of awesome fish here in the past several weeks Hawgcaller.
  16. Very nice fish!
  17. one of my technicians just got back from the bay and I made sure he gave me some striper. It's by far my favorite eating fish.

Whats up Jay, you're right. I believe it was spawned out also. I saw that thread about the bluegills bedding. At this pond I noticed quite a few small bass doing the same thing. Its always cool to see that. Also, glad to see that you haven't left us after all.

Thanks for the comments guys. Sucks to see the drama going on in that other thread. The fact is, I looked this place up on Google Earth and lucked out. Andrew, I'm down for a saturday evening bike ride! Lemme know.
  22. Well said Jay. I gotta tell you though, I do miss your reports. With regard to the subject of this post, I understand both sides of the matter. I personally don't want everyone to know my spots, because like a few people said, Northern Va is already overpressured in general. So if anyone asks, unless its a public place, I wont tell. However, I'm not going to be the guy who photoshops any of my pics! Haha

Yea i hear ya. My friend and I thought the same, but it was calibrated and zero'd out. I had one heck of a time switching it from kilos to lbs, haha. Here's another pic.
