  1. My homeowners covers mine but I had to add an endorsement.
  2. I know, it's over as far as I'm concerned. Just could not resist.
  3. I brought this discussion up about a year ago and how I liked to use the hydrogen peroxide in my live well. I was following Tony and Lane's advice. I was called a frigging idiot and the general consensus was that no one in their right mind would put that crap in their live well. The thread bashed me like no one had ever been hit here and it got nasty. All of you that called me everything in the book, where are you now?. For those that don't know, I stood my ground. Thank you Tony and Lane for coming to my aide. Y'all didn't deserve the things that were said about y'all either. Sorry, Glenn and RW, I felt like I owed them that.
  4. I cannot help you with a guide. I fish the lake a lot and can give you some help if you want to go it alone. I would offer to let you fish with me but the wife and I are going to be in Hawaii from the 28th until the 5th. Pm me if you want some help and I'll let you in on what I know. Good luck.
  5. You have hit a pothole or curb and knocked the axle out of alingment. It will need to go to the shop. They can realign by bending the axle or at the spindle mount. It may even need a new spindle welded on the axle. Axles down here with the spindle run about 125.00.
  6. Talk to your state agency and get their thoughts on this lake. They may need to do a study before they can give you a correct decision. They are the ones with the training and their rules are set with their educated surveys. Everything else is just conjecture.
  7. It is rampant down in this area. Locker bars are of no help. They just cut the side of the cap on one end or use the bow strap off the trailer to pull it loose and they are in. Does a ton of damage to the boat. Why would anyone leave their tackle in the boat. Takes just a few minutes to unload. It's a fact of life now that if you value your stuff you better keep it inside and out of harms way. Sad but that's the way it is now. My boat sits in my driveway and it is unloaded before the trailer is unhooked. I've been hit and it is no fun. If they get mine now one of us is a dead man.
  8. One of our local lakes(Lake Nacogdoches) is a slot lake that is strictly enforced. Several years ago our bass club was picked to catch as many LMB as possible to donate for testing. we were recruited by TP&W to do a study on the LMBV. We each had a written approval in our boat and were required to return to the ramp several times a day and put our fish on ice. Parks and wildlife dept. was there doing the creel count. they however, did ask us to bring in the larger fish for measurement and weighing and they were live released. Best I can remember we ended up with a little under a hundred for the survey. Most were 8-14" with a few 2-2 1/2 lbs. None any larger. Only problem the lake patrol was not informed and it created several instances with them until they arrived back at the ramp and TP&W straightened it out. So yes, I do agree that killing for science is ok.
  9. I have to agree with you on this one.
  10. I keep expecting a 16 or 17 to showup any day. They are out there.
  11. I read about the crash in Montana this morning and now this. Yikes, I'm flying to Hawaii Sunday. Guess it will be a 5 beer boarding instead of a two. Flying gives me the creeps.
  12. I've had them come out and start hammering, throwing stuff in the water, yelling, screaming at me. I just pick up my phone and dial the authorities. They usually calm down and go away when they realize you know what you are talking about. Some though prefer to push the issue, that's when you just quitely move on down to the next dock. I put one lady's pet fish in my livewell one day. She was a joke.
  13. Nice job Wesley. Congratulations on the new pb.
  14. I always figured it was time for a color change
  15. That is unreal. Bet the hatchery driver was glad they were all in one place.
  16. The guard is designed to protect the boat. It has no value from a performance standpoint. Simply a design to protect. Heck it's not even in the water when you are up on the pad.
  17. DT-16 DD-22 Manns 30+ I have never had a problem with broken lips on the 14s or 16s. Of course they are larger. Your fishing deep for larger fish, or at least that's the idea behind it. You can also downsize the line to create less drag to get several feet deeper.
  18. BLACK, BLACK, BLACK, BLACK, BLACK, BLACK The more squeak in the blades the better.
  19. Change speeds often and run it into anything you can to create a reaction strike. I also fish them to dig into the bottom. Catch lots of fish while digging it into a hard (Sandy, rock, etc.) bottom. Anything to make it shuck and jive.
  20. Oldham Trailer hitch jigs in 1/2, 3/4, and 1 oz.
  21. That sucks. Happens way to often and any of us could become a statistic at any time. Prayers to all involved.
  22. Well I told you I would be there last night, but due to a family situation I cannot be there today or fish the tournament tomorrow. Just sucks but I have to be here this weekend.
  23. Well I told Wesley to throw the trickworm so I guess my info was right on. I also posted I was fishing points. Guess they were fishing the wrong points. Hey Wesley, did you get bit back in Hines creek?
