Went into the Stren booth at the PAA tournament up at Lake Conroe last month. They said their machine was loaded with clear blue mono in 15# test, but i cannot verify that. Tied the Palomar and a slip knot. Palomar broke at 26.81 lbs. Slip knot broke at 21.87 lbs. Anyone ever had their knots checked?

I don't own a snap lock of any kind.

Such an easy solution. I always run a dedicated line and fuse for each unit.

Your probably right about the bass boat. They run them on the little outlaw racing boats at times. first time i ever saw it i laughed my A$$ off, but they do it and said it helps. I started not to post it figuring everyone would call me stupid, or worse.

Try an inflatable ball of some type(Basketball, volleyball, football). whatever you can cram in the middle of the jackplate. It's an old boat racers trick, but it usually won't raise the rear over an inch or so.

I cut one using a pipe cutting tool. Never got into the wiring. Did not have to shorten the wires just pushed them into the shaft. It was no problem especially since you can control the cutting pressure with the tool.

Very impressive. Hell, I've never even seen an 8# Smallie.

sounds bush league to me that you would do that. who is to say that the other boater didnt find that spot himself in the same manner you did? and once again, once you show someone a spot, youve voluntarily shared that spot. its a bit hipocritical that you would complain about something thats of your own making. if you dont have other spots to fish, then you obviously didnt put in the time you claim to have put in. and the time and money you do put in, well that was your own choice and is not something you should be holding against anyone else for whatever reasons... Bush, why is it written in the rules? Co angler broke the written rules when he lead the boater in on this area the second day. First place was 25,000.00, that ain't bush. FYi, I had plenty of other spots. Enough to finish in the top five. Boater admited that the co-angler showed him the spot. Immediate loss of days weight.

My last one was at the "Chapel of Love" in Gatlinburg Tenn. So far so good.

I guess I'm strange, I fish a 5/0 and a 6/0 on a senko. No issues, just like to use the hook to add weight instead of something else.
