  1. Sorry to hear this. prayers for a quick recovery.
  2. Great pics. sadly, our water temps are still in the mid to high 80s.
  3. Fishing state championship this weekend. We are fishing as a team. Day 2 starts sitting in 2nd. Co angler has a large fish in the tournament, wants to check him out at 11:00am. Opens the lid to look and a four jumps back in the lake. we did replace the fish later with a smaller fish. Went to weighin, he opens the lids before I can get back to put the net over the livewell opening to bag fish. Another one jumps out. Instead of weighing five on day two, we now have only four that go a little over 12lbs. I kept my mouth shut.
  4. Leaving Thursday at 4:00am. Will be back Sunday night. Good or bad I'll post the results up.
  5. Jerry and half of Dallas are teetering.
  6. If you are that unhappy with it I might take it off your hands.
  7. all of the above. also you need to learn to navigate the lake. set up your areas and time them. you need to know how long it will take you to travel to certain areas and how long the run to the scales will be. Weather will/can change a run, but you need to know. Never too early to learn a lake
  8. They used those things down here years ago to cut boat lanes. Havn't seen or heard of ones use around here in a long time.
  9. i use a jewelers cloth. It brightens them up and no worry about scratching the surface.
  10. what are we looking for? seperation on the inner liner, particles of hose material that can damage fuel pump diaphrams and anything else they come into contact with. Inside of carbs like needle and seats. They can and will wreck havoc on the fuel system.
  11. I put new races, seals, and bearings on my trailer this afternoon. Been just about a year. It's an annual thing for me.
  12. Been there. Attended games at the Cotton Bowl, and Texas Stadium, but i am not going to Jerry's new folly unless the Texans are playing there. How is that "Camp Cupcake" working for all you cowboy fans?
  13. When reloading MORE is not better. I shot 100 rounds of reloads out of my pistol last week at the range; three failed to fire. Weird feeling when you pull the trigger and nothing happens. Caution, don't glance down the barrell when this happens.
  14. Matt, the titans left town years ago. LOL.
  15. fishfordollars replied to Deb's topic in Tournament Talk
Best of luck to you Deb. We are watching.
  16. Try backing out to the next drop from where you are fishing. Doesn't have to be a big drop either. Sometimes they will set up on a 1-2' drop out away from the area you are in. Turn around and face the other way. Many times that's all it takes. Good luck
  17. Anytime you would normally be throwing another topwater lure. ***You are totally missing the boat if you fail to pick it up midday when you have a chop on the water and a little cloud cover. Eighty percent of my fish over seven are caught between 10:00-4:00pm.*** Black with a silver or gold blade is my most consistant color. Good luck
  18. Get to know as many as possible away from the water and the meetings. see how they live. Attend a few meetings, fish with as many as possible before making a decision. I'm going to disagree with the above post concerning the outbreaks at the meetings. We never have arguments in ours. We might/do disagree on a lot of things, but never an uproar at all(EVER). Can't remember the last time anything got loud or out of hand at one of our meetings.
  19. Welcome, see what you been missing.
  20. I can't help you. You got any info on Choke that would help me?
  21. Nope, just kinda letting it rest a little. I'm bypassing a trip to Hawaii with my wife to be here to fish it on the 30th. She's got to go back to work another week. I told her this weekend to take her sister with her(Or a boyfriend if she happens to have one). Reguardless, I ain't going this trip.
  22. Headed down there Wednesday night to fish the state tournament. Never been there so i got two days to figure it out. Anyone got any info on the current water conditions and any other info that might help? Thanks, Jack
