  1. Keep the trolling motor on seperate batteries. Everything else will be fine on the other as long as you keep the charge up.
  2. I personally own 68 traps in varing sizes and manufacturers. When the chrome comes off I rechrome them with Renaissance Foil. You can buy it at art deco stores and they look brand new when done. I have a few that continue to catch more bass than the others and I guard them well. I have found that once you recover them the finish tends to last a lot longer and does not affect the action.
  3. I never have or ever will use the snaps. Two reasons: 1. They keep you from retying as often as you should 2. Just another item that could fail between you and the fish
  4. Power loading is the way to go if it is allowed.
  5. I sealed mine off and made a cooler out of it. Storage and cooler are about the only things that I can think of they are good for. Just put a clip on your partner's fish to keep them apart in a tournament and you will be fine.
  6. Looks like a good buy to me. congratulations!
  7. The one you need to call is a good lawyer. I had a claim in 2002 with Statefarm that they denied. I blasted a stump in the boat lane on Toledo and destroted a prop, lower unit, and the transom. I hired an attorney and the insurance company held out and finally sent a check to the attorney's office the day before we were filing suit.
  8. Try fishing them on windy points and keep the lure in the twilight zone(Just below where you can see it). You should get bit.
  9. Sorry to hear. Prayers sent to the family.
  10. Welcome. Reference the previous replys.
  11. I like the wind. It's the four and five ft. rollers I can't stand.
  12. Now Catt, you had a post just a couple of weeks ago stating you would never pay that for weights. Welcome to the dark side. I made the transition and can't go back.
  13. Jigs, Senkos, trick worms.
  14. Difference is the amount of water they move and the resistance to the water. Colorado blades will create more vibration than the willowleaf blades. I use the colorado in offcolor water and the willowleaf for clearer water. I also downsize the willowleaf blades in clear water. You can pull it through the water faster creating a less visable target for the fish. You do not want them getting a good look at it as they tend to realize it for what it is, a fake.
  15. fish the trees that are out away from the others and the ones closer to the deeper water. This is where you will find the larger fish.
  16. You need to upgrade your tackle. Get a rod with a medium heavy action and you will be able to drive the hook through the worm.
  17. I caught 4 the first hour on Lake Conroe with the new samples Saturday. Just dropping them off the grass and they got nailed. Storm drove me off the water so I did not get a chance to really give them a workout. Largest was about 2 3/4lbs.
  18. So what is the score? I bet the monkey is ahead by a 10-1 margin.
  19. Sam Rayburn with Toledo Bend being a close second. They are only 30 something miles apart.
  20. Weight is a big factor to me. a few ounces can make or break the way I feel at the end of the day. For all you young bucks it probably doesn't matter, but it will when your old bones and muscles start feeling their age.
  21. Reels: Revos Curados Rods: Allstar Falcon Castaway American-Rodsmith
  22. 90% of mine have come in the 10-20 level.
  23. I get it put on me a lot over the years. That's part of it. Learn from it. It does a soul good to be humbled at times.
