Check out this fish catching dude ! :-)
Cool pic. Reminds of one time last year I spotted a cormorant up in a tree with a catfish about that size. The bird was beating the fish against the trunk of the tree to make it settle down. Funniest thing I seen. Too bad I didn't have a camera then.

Lake Mogadore Ohio
Hell of a nice fish from Moggie.Congrats are in order man. One of my largest Ohio bass came from that place as well. Right around 5lbs out of one of the scum/pad covered shallow coves on a hollow frog maybe 15 yrs ago in summer. Wonder if the picture is still on the wall in the registration office? Just to let you know right around end of april and may the spinnerbait bite can get really insane out on the milfoil flats in that lake too.

Fl doing very well!!!!
Thats what happens when you learn how to fish with your equipment, knowledge, and experience instead of your wallet. Shame on you. :

Favorite Lure that doesn't work?
Despite my lack of success I still would like to get one of them in a floater. I got the slow sink only which isn't my cup of tea in the first place.

Double Fluke Or Double Senko Rig?
Works just fine! If you really want to play it can be as complicated as you want, fun to play with if your out feeling like screwing around. You can mix colors, sizes, weight one bait or the other,or mix different baits entirely. I like to use 2 trickworms,or a trick+finesse worm. My newest creation is take a magnum size fluke(baby bass) and put a tiny fluke or berkley minnow in front of it. 8-) On a side note: I've been curious of doing one of these type of rigs on a c-rig.Haven't done it yet. :-?

Favorite Lure that doesn't work?
You too? They sure appeal to anglers though ;) Roger x3 Excellent looking bait in and out of the water. I can catch them on a sexy swimmer though. :

Lost fishing Rod
Get you a 1 oz sinker(or the biggest you got) and rig a carolina rig and tie at least 2 size 2 trebles or bigger in tandom below the sinker. My buddy did this and retrieved my rod in about 2 minutes which he dropped overboard in about 15-16 ft of water. You won't have to buy any special snagging hooks ans also a rattletrap doesn't work as well because it rides nose down and may deflect. Probably stating the obvious here, but you got to move around and change casting angle. If you happen to be casting paralell to the rod it will be harder too grab than if you happen to hit it cross ways.

South Park is genious! The guys who come up with this stuff and write it are definitely not stupid by any means.

Skipping baits
Personally an underhanded roll cast is easier and much more accurate for me unless I need a really long distance skip, then I sidearm. Start with tubes t-rigged,flukes,fat ika, senkos, and buzz frogs such as the ribbit. These are the easiest to skip.

Topwater in Muddy Water
Your gonna have to stay shallow due too the lack of visibility. The clearer the water the deeper you can draw them up from. Also fish very tight to and in cover when possible.Usually slow down the retrieve to give them time to find it. For the most part I'd use a black bait or some dark variation.A little chart on it wouldn't hurt either.Loud baits and or ones that make a lot of commotion is usually a bonus. I like super spook jr,buzzbaits, ribbit frogs, loud poppers, large torpedo, devils horse, wounded spook, and spro popping frog with a rattle.. Plugs are fished with small twitches or rips to keep them in the strikezone longer.

For those who fish ultralight....
3 inch senko wacky rigged, zoom finesse worm wacky, tiny swimbaits such as cream spoiler shad. 8-) I haven't tried the tiny x-rap 6 yet. I am thinking it may work as well. EDIT: Geez I almost forgot about the berkley realistix power minnows. They sell them in a clam pack now with 2 jigheads. The tiny 2 inch ones come with a matching 1/16 oz head and the 3 inch come with an 1/8. We nailed the crap out of the crappie this winter on them with a clip on spinner attached. Beware though 2 lb bass will nail those things all day as well.

Teaching to feel the bite
Maybe a dumb question but are you instructing her to hold the rod between 10-12 position? Explaining tight line vs-semi slack?A rod that is too low or perpendicular doesn't offer as much sensitivity as I am sure you already know. Using the wrist and fingers only, not the elbow, to gently wiggle the bait and weigh the line when a strange sensation arises?
