Your thoughts on this lure
No I didn't buy one. I removed the "quote" I pasted from that page.Never know that guy could be a member here LOL. Basically if you like experiementing with weird or different things then yeah I'd give it a shot if I had a few bucks to kick around for something new.

Your thoughts on this lure
I'd throw it.Yeah it seems a little overdone but I like goofy things like that. You never know until you try it. Some of these r-tards with these reviews on BPS kill me sometimes... ;D

What lure are you?
10 inch worm

Tungsten yes or no?
Agree! Personally I stay away from it on a c-rig though. Not that I don't absolutely love it but it goes back to the "if you can afford it" factor. :-/ I am prone to losing c -rigs pretty often.

Double hug Bug
I know,I realize that.I was just partly trying to give ya a hard time. You got the wheels turning in my head now of possibilites with this. Thanks for the post.I'll do a little experimenting.

Ima Big Stick
That thing looks pretty sick! Wish I could afford to give it a try. Sure the saltwater fish around here would destroy it as well.

Double hug Bug
Not about whats rocket science....just trying to poke the new guy in the ribs :

Double hug Bug
Agree! ;D If your trying to let the cat out of the bag then give us details please. Is this a successful method? What size popper you use?

Ho... Ho... Hawg...
Nice football krzkev. 8-) The time is now! I have been catching a lot of extremely fat pre-spawn pigs during this cold weather.Spinnerbaits with oversized blades slow rolled, and believe it or not the topwater bite has been crazy as well!
-
Double hug Bug
HMMMM...I think he is talking about making sort of a jointed topwater bait of sorts. :-? I think I may take a look at this and see if it works that way. You Got a picture or maybe a better explanation Ozark??

actionlures
Maybe a gimmick, but you never know until you try. Do I think you will have more success due to these new baits? Doubtfully, but then again most of the stuff we use and swear by looks gimmicky. I was a little curious about these myself and wanted to see if anyone "took the bait".

Spring Lures
Spinnerbaits are a good bet for finding pre spawn pigs.Jigs worked slowly in cold water.Carolina rigs for covering a lot of water on dropoffs and flats near possible spawning areas. Suspending minnow baits such as the lucky craft pointer and rapala husky jerk are great too.Use long pauses in colder water. Where are you from? :-? Maybe someone from your region can give you a direct answer. Welcome to the forum and to bass fishing.

Zoom Brush Hogs
Excellent pitching bait,do like the name implies, pitch it right into the brush. If fishing heavy grass you can cut off the little "arms" from the side so it slides through better. Great jig trailer too, for a bulky profile and slower fall. I also love them on a carolina rig. You got the baby or the regular size?

My mini-movie: The Great Reel Debate
Sounds like a good way to start the sequel...

jelly worms?
Fish it like a worm. Sorry to sound like a smart @ss but they work and always have however you like to rig em.

Walk the Dog Baits
The slim dog from bass pro is an excellent bait as is the RI Vixen.

tru life tungsten
I take it you got the floater/slow sink then. With no balls it will only swim straight on a slow retrieve. You can also twitch/rip it on the surface. With one ball you can burn it a little better. The action looks great on these but I personally haven't had too much success with it except for little wolf pack dinks busting minnows that will strike anything .I have had a couple of blowups on calm mornings working it painfully slow like a stunned or unaware baitfish. It's also too darn small in my opinion. Some people on here like them a lot though maybe someone else can chime in? Later

NICE! ;D 8-) Happy Holidays.

Kind of ticked at BPS
My store preference is a forbidden site. :

Speed of retrieve.
Agree with Catt. That article is not right nor is it wrong.Changes in presentation techniques are something that we as bass fisherman can never stop learning or experimenting with. Also got to remember that certain crankbaits by design or action perform better at higher or lower speeds as can be said about most types of baits. Ever speed reel a spinnerbait with small willows at a blazing pace and crashing it into brush or swim a worm or jig crashing it through weeds?

Kind of ticked at BPS
WOW! I am shocked.I've never heard any stories of this nature coming from a reputable place like BPS before. :

Will fish die if they swallow plastic worms?
No not always fatal. They do many times pass them or vomit them. Some of the high salt baits are the ones to be concerned about.Ever see what happens to a wet senko sitting in the bottom of the boat for a week or so? It expands and turns into a giant hot dog.Things like this could actually be what plugs a fish up.
-
Will fish die if they swallow plastic worms?
Possibly, but that article states that the gentleman has occasionally lost plastics during the fight with a struggling bass as have we all. That is also somthing to think about. How many times have we seen other fish follow a hooked fish to the boat or even try to steal the bait? I for one highly discourage throwing used baits overboard and have been over the subject a couple times on this forum and through it with a few people I know that do it.You can throw a rig out and deadstick it for five minutes and a fish may come by and pick it up.What is going to stop them from doing it just because it doesn't have a hook in it? My buddy likes to rip the baits apart in pieces and throw them out. There are also environmental issues with certain chemicals in the baits as well. I also imagine that the fish may still eat the broken baits as well since studies have found various objects of every shape and size in fishs stomachs including bottle caps, sticks, pebbles, snail shells, tabs from soda cans, plastic silverware, aluminum foil. Please keep trash in its place!Even if you don't think that your doing any harm litter is still litter. Thanks for the article Glenn.
