Carolina Rigs
Not really except a bullet can get stuck in rocks easier.I like bullets for regular terrain and eggs for rocks and mojo style(long cylindrical) for grass. Not necessarily. In more open water where you may be less prone to snags you may choose to "nose hook" the bait and it will have a lot more action and a very positive hook up in some cases. Not talking about long worms but creatures, frogs, tubebaits, craws, andminnow style plastics work well nose hooked

Zoom Swimming Super Fluke
Don't roll your eyes at me!(oops I was the one who did it first ,sorry ) You can pick up shad style paddle tails in any tackle shop and even find them 3 or 4 for a dollar. It may be even more widespread around here since that style of bait is very popular with the saltwater crowd.

Topwater Question
A whole lot of that depends on the overall water clarity.Around here in a lot of the murky stained tanic water most success will come in 3 feet or less, for example. You can generally catch them over deeper water as the water gets clearer, and although I haven't experienced it yet, they say you can call fish out of 20 feet or more of water when it is very clear. The type of lure can also be a factor. Is it loud and noisy, subtle and quiet,is it a fast or slow moving bait? Also remeber that in dirtier water the fish tend to relate tighter to cover and structure.Topwaters in dirtier water will be fished very close to or in cover.Baits in clear water will be fished out over points, humps, along deep weed edges, and over top of sunken brush or timber.

Rapala Sure Set hooks?
Thats good to hear Five Bass Limit. I on the other hand and some others that I fish with have had a consistent problem with that goofy hook piercing the fish behind the tongue at the heart of the gills or sticking through the gill tissue itself. It isn't always so much as hooking a fish deep such as may happen with a plastic,it is where that giant protruding claw is grabbing them inside their mouth. As we all know, or have seen, once this happens to a fish it is toast, and will bleed out in a number of seconds. My fault or my equipment? Maybe, but I doubt it. If a fish chokes the bait thats a good thing and means I'm using the right bait, correct? So whoever loves those hooks then great. Not my cup of tea and I wish they would stop selling them as standard on their baits. The VMC that comes on the regular Dt can't be improved on too much.they are already great hooks.

t-rig tube hooks
Owner wide gap plus. These hooks have a wider gap which will accompany a thick bodied tube or other similar bait and of course since they are owners they will flat out stick the fish. This is also the hook I use for a Fat Ika Only downfall is that if you don't like a heavy wire gauge hook.

New tackle finds
Nothing wrong with sharing what ya like. I however do not like the super speed craws and they don't have near the action that the rage tails do,not even close. Not a bad bait,it works though. Ever try a regular ultra vibe speed craw on a finesse jig? It is a very compact action packed little morsel..

Rapala Sure Set hooks?
True, if that big hook sticks them they can not get off.The trade off is that you will dredge every piece of scum, wood, rock, and debris from the water. Helpless shad and baitfish even fall victim to that abominable creation as well. Gill hooking and mortally wounding fish isn't much of an issue either if you plan on keeping everything. : I do save some of my junk SS to put on the rear of traps and spooks though.

French Fries?
Don't ever try that with a senko or a trickworm. It doesn't work. They HAVE to be fished weightless. :

Bass size?
I am amazed that this thread made it this far without any "witch trials" over laying the fish on the ground. : Nevermind that though .Welcome to the board. I understand your excitement over catching one of your first nice fish. Hard to tell from a picture but I think 2.5 - 3lbs. If your really pressed and don't have a scale yet then take a piece of line and measure the length and girth.

Some children never grow up , they just get taller. Guess the favoritism is being shown to BASS FISHERMEN who are here to learn about BASS FISHING. :

fall bass
Spooks (my favorite), props when it is choppy, spinnerbaits on windy days when the fronts are coming though are killer, swimbaits and buzzbaits if you see fish busting, cranks around any underwater humps and points are good, jerkbaits along the edges of weedlines....basically this is a time of year when I lay off of the plasttics a little bit and go for moving baits to cover a lot of water.During post frontal bluebird crap conditions then you need to be deadsticking plastics and hope that you can hit a fish in the face with it or flipping the nastiest stuff you can find. Tranformers 2 SU**ED!!! Spoilers
Sure it had plenty of issues just like the first one but overall I thought it was much better than the first. The sound effects in the theater were impressive. Wish they could have followed the plot from the original cartoon series a little more but thats movies I guess.
