Adding feathered trebles
Haven't done it but i would think that a feather would look rather nice on the back of one of those kind of lures, especially when pausing and ripping.

Shakey head. Also a lipless crank, cast it a mile, burn it back.Having trouble keeping it off the bottom, try the 1/4 oz.

new mirolure...
Well it can go two ways.If you are asking specifically about using a saltwater lure to catch saltwater species then yes go to the "other" section. If you want to know if anybody is using these to catch bass then this is the place. We get posts every now and then about lures such as yo-zuris which make some dynamite bass lures as well. 8-)

skipin a lure
Much of it is in the wrist with a good follow through. That said most of the time I skip I use a quick roll cast .You just have to keep trying to do it to develope the proper body mechanics. How far the lure hangs off the rod can have a dramatic effect on the type of skip as well.Yes there are different types of skips and certain lures do it better than others. You want to learn then the best bait to use would definately be a texas rigged senko or a texas rigged tube or a ribbit frog.

Wacky Rig Thoughts
Speaking of giving it a different look. The Yamamoto 6.5 inch kut tail is absolutely deadly wacky rigged.Put a small nail in the head also sometimes.Twitch it once and you'll see what I mean.

Rage Tail Poll
A little too big? :-? Do you really live in Florida? Just kidding.Give it a chance.Certain waters around here the big worms will out produce the regular ones by far. The craw is my best producing bait.I love it for pitching in dirty water and fishing in the dark.

Public Perception of Fishing
Ya, I heave heard the crap about why do I need that whole box of stuff and why do I need 4-8 rods to fish with. This is coming from people who have never fished in their life. There is no way for them to comprehend the fact that I am not just tossing a line in the water and taking a nap while waiting for something to nibble. I do what I do because thats what I like to do and it just goes back to the original fact that whenever your having fun doing something you like there will always be someone to tell you you can't or that there is basically something wrong with you because they don't do that.

PETA = hypocrites
: The part that bugs me is that they are not offering a fullscale adoption program such as the humane society does. They ought to be working hand in hand with organizations such as the humane society and others dedicated to rescue and adoption of animals. It seems they would rather spend their funds and donations on terrorist compains ,demonstrations, and phony fear mongering advertisments. Knew about this for a while. My mother used to support them and now doesn't for reasons similar to these.

Unusual catches on artificials?
A few that come to mind. 1lb crappie on a full size heddon torpedo.Another crappie not even a lb on a 5in senko carolina rigged. These baits are pretty big for a crappie that size. 1/2 lb pumkinseed on a 10 inch yum worm. How he got the the 4/0 wide gap hook in his mouth is beyond me : Tilapia on a dt-6.Another tilapia on a yo-zuri crystal minnow.Tilapia on spinnerbait. Grass carp on a 5 inch senko ;D Oscar on a manns 1- Gar on a senko, frogs, trickworms, poppers, spooks, spinnerbaits, prop baits etc.etc.I hate those things. Most annoying freshwater fish in Florida. Blugill on a 3/8 spinnerbait.Once again, how did he get the hook in his mouth? :-? Blugill on a superspook jr.Mouth stretched over all three rear trebles :

Night Fishing Favorite Bait
Agree with the paca craw. Also like a rage craw,it moves a lot of water. As always experiment with the size of the sinker you are using. I also like to employ a brass sinker and glass bead with these at times for extra sound. A chatterbait is a standard night bait also.experiment with the retrive.Start by slow rolling the bottom along drop offs and over humps. I really fell in love with this worm last year.It is fantastic at night. http://www.gambler-lures.com/8paddletail.html You can really feel it thump coming through the water and the fish will readily hit it on a swimming type retrive also. For a good topwater I might suggest the new spro poppin bronzeye frog. You wouldn't really have to worry about throwing in a bad place or stickin it in your buddys skull when he decides to move as your swinging. At night use a hard downward pop or double pop and let it sit 10-30 seconds.

Paca Craw question - wrong hook size?
Not sure what you mean but that bait can be rigged through either side top or bottom. One side rips, flip it over and rig it on the other. The hook always rides on the underneath when it is in the water. Couldn't quite figure out how to make it balance on that skinny hook whlie laying it on the table :-X
