It's a gnarly worm! What can I say? Somrthing very different from anything the fish have seen yet. -Side note.Don't let anyone fool you.Those worms are extremely durable, and if rigged properly will bring good numbers of fish per bait.

I admittedly hate jigs but can tell you that it doesn't make no difference whether craws are present or not. Lures that mimic or look like craws will work anywhere. If you threw a live one in a likely spot I bet it doesn't last long either ;D In other words if you are having problems nailing them on worms,senkos,flukes then give the craw a definite go and watch what happens.

Right about 4 lbs. Long and healthy, but not real fat.Nice fish! I know all about self taken pictures when no one else is around -If your pressed about the size then take a piece of fishing line next time and measure the length and girth. length x length x girth divided by 1200 =approx weight. If the fish aren't spooking out and dissapearing and always coming back and lingering around the nest they WILL be caught! Believe it.You really have to work a big girl sometimes though. Best advice I can give it to try different baits and or colors.I have seen too many times where they will nose up to something over and over or just nip at it.Change retrieves,shaking,popping,deadstick.Then change sizes bigger and it just pizzes them off and they crush it. Bed fishing is a whole different world.

Thought I'd add my .02 Just today me and my buddy were having a blast with a very large buck on a bed,close to 3 lbs. He worked the fish into a tantrum caught it and broke off on the hookset. I then worked on him with a different bait.Caught him and released after about 10 mins and it had my buddys paca craw and 4/0 hook in it's throat. I then proceded to work the fish again with a new bait and it bit a third time ;D That was one macho man protecting his nest.GOOD FUN!

Spinnerbait whit/chart double or single colorado slow rolled and jigs. Don't know what your weed situation is but it probably couldn't hurt to fling a carolina rig with a 1/4 to 1/2 oz weight.You can work it slow and cover a lot of water.Stick a 4in senko or trickworm on the back.

Cool post. Tried it when I was a kid. Had trouble keeping it on the hook and keeping it straight. It gets very slimy and slippery when wet.I did however catch a bass on it,once,twitching it across some green pond scum.That fish would have struck anything though since it can't actually see what the bait is just smacking the commotion.

x2.They are all outstanding baits though. I am partial to the pacas.Fish just straight up eat it and can be fished a hundred different ways in every kind of situation. No angler should be without it IMO.
