RT Chunk
Although nowadays I am big on the netbait products I will honestly say the RT are VERY durable,at least as much as a plastic can be.

BPS shipping prices are crazy!
Tackle Warehouse also uses an ingenious ordering system that lets you know if the item you want is in stock. Unlike some other places I have ordered from that take your money and then tell you the item is back ordered. That burns me up. > Then unless it has changed they want to add an extra shipping charge if they need to send a second or third box. Outrageous!!! I agree with the others. let's say I wanted a Rico ofr the crazy price of 22.99 and also a TT bluegill for 49.99 then I have to pay around 12.00 to ship a box that weighs around 5 oz??!! It's just another example of corporate greed.

Lure Craze Hatred
It just seems there are too many people that are always looking for that "magic" lure.Ya know the one that fish large fish will just jump alll over as soon as it enters the water because it is sooo irresistable : Lures are tools to be used along with the knowledge of the angler. Can't drive a nail with a screwdriver. You won't catch more fish no matter how much you spend unless you learn how to use what you've got first.

weight of tru-tungsten tru-life 4" swim baits?
I'll weigh mine later and get back to ya. I am going fishing now One thing I can say though is that I am very dissapointed in the size of this thing. I was really thinking that it was the same size as a spro or a SK king shad. It is not. It is very very tiny and I havent hardly even tried mine yet. I shoulda spent the extra and got the full size version. I am a noob to swimbaits and was just looking for something that will catch fish not bait :

Hook size for Baby Paca Craws
For general texas rigging and c-rig I use a 2/0 Ewg. For flippping you will need a stronger hook.Use a 3/0 superline Gamakatsu or 3/0 owner Ewg plus hook. Reason I mentioned the 2/0 first is because you get a lot better action on the bait with a t-rig or c-rig with the shorter shank and lighter wire. The bait flutters better. The 3/0 runs right to the very nose of the bait.Nothing wrong with it for flippin. If your using braid you will probably want something heavier like I mentioned before.Regular gauge 3/0 hooks such as gamakatsu or mustad will bend pretty easy when your yanking one out of the brush or grass.

Flappin for Hawgs again

Dumb Purchases
Ditto on the Ikas! I bought 3 bags of those things, and after a half-dozen attempts, I haven't caught squat. Not even one bite. The fish were there too. After 1+ hours (per trip) of unproductive fishing, switching back to a senko put fish in the boat. I know that other people on bassresource like the Ika, but I'm really starting to think that they suck. Oh yeah, I tried them backwards & forwards. No difference in the bite. Maybe I'll cut one in half (length wise) and see if a "leech Ika" works any better. :-? RIDICULOUS! Fish the Fat Ika EXACTLY where you would fish a Senko and EXACTLY the same way. This bait is simply a different profile with different action. Sometimes the fish prefer the Fat Ika to the Senko, sometimes it's the other way around. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141053342 8-) : : Sorry Kent. Not doubting your credibility at all.I just think the Ika is one of those baits that won't work in all kinds of water or areas of the country. I've pitched it in cover, used on a c-rig,rigged front, back, sideways, over humps, drops,up,down, across, parallel, fast, slow, twitch, deadstick, lift, drop with very limited success.Gave it a fair chance.I could join the crowd that says they can't catch a cold on that thing. That being said I don't think I made a "dumb" purchase (4 times). It looks fantastic in the water. It just doesn't jive with me.

Cold front fishing
x2 Might I add that one other thing that works for me is to use a shad colored tandem spinnerbait with very large blades rolled very very slowly parallel on drop offs or over humps. This is in places with little cover except some shoreline brush. Shakey heads in light weights works subtle and slow. If you got grass find the warm spots and flip away

IT HURT!!!!!!!
Very cool!

Wooly Hawgtail
I don't think durability would be an issue. The texture is the same as all other Yum baits. Then again I couldn't tell you.I have never even so much as had a fish breathe on one. Same good old colors I always use.Have been on a hot flippin bite many times catching fish on a large variety of baits and colors then throw that goofy thing in there and they laugh at it. Do I think it is a bad bait? No, it is just one of those great mysteries in life ;D

Spinnerbaits
HMMM tough call.I am partial to war eagle skirts but I like Stanley the best. Check out fishstanley.com and you will see what I mean. The skirts are fantastic with number 811 being my favorite.(they call it crappie and in the sw swim jigs they call it mullet) Scratch that I just went to fishstanley.com and I don't even see the icon series or any of the colores that those came in or a list of replacement skirts??!! I do know where to buy just the skirts but it is quite illegal to mention the site around here :

Spinnerbaits
BTW, Welcome to the forum! Are you from Cleveland? I am from Akron. I like Stanley spinnerbaits a lot. All the brands you are using are great, especially if you are tweaking them. Pick 3 or 4 of your favorite color patterns and then make a few blade combinations in each color and weight size and stick with it.

Clear Water, 14 ft Deep, Nice weeds, opinions???
Senko or trickworm with a nail in the rear end.Different look plus it does penetrate weeds a little.

>>BR Lure Fun Season 2<<
Nada.I went ahead and sent it to Fishin_daddy today. I really never had a good chance to use it and don't want to keep it too long.Seems like this cold spell we had knocked the fish back and I haven't found any in the areas where this bait could excel.Maybe it will come around again sometime.Nice bait though.

Chatterbaits
First off it is my belief that these are truly hit or miss baits. It seems it will not appeal to the fish if not worked just the way they want it.Use it in situations where you might throw a spinnerbait. It is also a great night bait. I assume that you are changing your retrieves and depths? If not then it is real important. Wake it on the top over weeds,Slow roll at a variety of depths or bottom.Yo-yo retrieve with rips and pauses.Dragging and jigging on the bottom. Can even be pitched directly into cover.Basically I use it just like a rattletrap. It can be a good reaction strike bait,at times. Of course the weight of the head can determine how effective different speeds and retrieves work too. This bait gets a lot of "lift".I like a 3/8 for most purposes. I am not a huge fan of chatterbait style baits but I can say the best thing is the huge variety of different trailers that can be used.Skirt on or off.

Zoom 7" Mag Super Fluke
5/0 ewg is pushing it.It is a little too small. A 6/0 is great.Owner is making the wide gap plus in a 6/0 now. Gamakatsu has a new "monster hook" that comes in sizes 6/0 through 8/0 and they also make a weighted version of it. With flukes I usually try to use the largest hook I can get away with.Better hookups and better sink rate. The mag fluke a gnarly creation. It can catch some monsters. It is also quite heavy. You will probably need a MH rod as this bait prob weighs close to an ounce rigged. It is also hard to get the correct twitching action with a lighter "bendy" rod.You need a little backbone. Hope this helps and don't be shy to throw it on a carolina rig

Craziest thing happened to me while fishing today.
Two fish on one hook :-? NICE! That being said I have done it with a rattle trap,a dt crank, and a rebel popper with a norman front runner on it.
