  1. It's just nice to own nice stuff when you can afford it.
  2. LOL, I am game except I don't want to keep the lure quite THAT long.
  3. And at least 10,000 more casts between any of the others you caught since then? : Yep,they still make the crazy shad
  4. ^Exactly^ Thus the monkey is born.We have to blame it on someone or somebody.
  5. Thats a great way to put it into perspective Stringjam
  6. Yep I got suckered into watching the auditions the other night. They say some funny crap on there. I wonder how many times one of the body guards has had to jump a contestant to keep them from going over the table and breaking Simons smug face LOL.
  7. Nice list Hookem. Being 33 now most of that means much to me though I am a little older and am more of an eighties person. I got around 10 on Glenns list :
  8. Got any links? :-?
  9. Time to break out my stash of dynamite and a good net. That is going to be the best technique until next week.
  10. You can eliminate this problem by getting some small coffee stirrers and cutting about an inch off, running your braid through the stirrer, then tying on as usual. No more snagged lines on the front prop. NICE! I'll do that to my cordell crazy shad.
  11. Nothing at all. The Florida rig is relatively new. I think someone came up with the name to push their product. They sell a certain type of sinker that has a rubber **** type insert to prevent the sinker from sliding up/down the line. Used for flipping heavy cover. It's gimmick if you ask me. x1000 The goop doesn't last and will not stay put on braided line.I took a drillbit and cleared all that crap out of all mine and use a good old fashioned never let you down toothpick.
  12. Are the billed baits floater/wakebaits? Has anybody used these yet. Do you like the billed ones or the standard? I noticed all the sinkers out of stock and for good reason, these are some of the finest looking baits I have ever seen.
  13. Terrorist cult fanatics : Maybe we should stop spraying for mosquitoes or killing roaches that invade our home or for that matter just stop breathing all together since our body is killing thousands of microorganisms every minute ;D
  14. Fishindaddy was supposed to get it first.I am gonna keep it for a few then pm him. I don't really see any southerners on the list yet so you will be one of the first. I didn't make it out today and was drooling over the pre frontal conditions :-[
  15. Kahle style hooks for me and if glades fishing you may want the ones with weed guards.
  16. No but seriously, the D-Horse flat out catches fish. I too had the problem with braid, impossible. Remove front prop, replace screw. To make the bait sit a bit lower in the water.(1 of 3) a)replace the rear hook with a slightly larger one b)use a heavier gauge hook c)apply a small piece of a suspend strip to the rear Turn rear screw slightly, maybe one turn,so that the prop can spin super free. Most of the time it is too snug out of the package. Take pliers and slightly twist the prop like a fan blade. If done correctly you should be able to hold the lure up vertically and gently blow the prop from front to back and make it spin effortlessly. When in the water you should hear a small "bloop" when you twitch it and it should sound like a tiny buzzbait when straight retrieved. It becomes more of a finesse prop. Not loud and boisterous like these baits are generally known for.Best when fished in calm conditions. Gentle downward twitches just like working a floating Rapala.Sometimes rips work.Always pause. In my experience the strike ususally aren't violent. The water just opens up like a black hole and the lure dissapears. Some of the baits I bought I had more trouble "tweaking" Reason why? I do not know, but sometimes you got to play with it a little bit until it is right.
  17. Take the front prop off. It catches a hell of a lot more fish that way anyhow 8-)
  18. Jesus Matt! That girl looks like she could swallow your head! ;D
  19. Don't really have too much of that problem around here in freshwater at least. The gar can really get you going though > Nothing like throwing a topwater frog and getting several dozen hits from them. They will also destroy a spook or popper on occasion. Mudfish are a real trip too.Nothing like throwing a big 10 inch worm and getting a freight train slamming strike and thinking it is a 7lb+ bass only to see an ugly grinning set of teeth.
  20. Got it today.SWEET! Perfect for a lot of the water I fish. I want to go tomorrow to a flooded orange tree flat in in 3-7 ft of water at my local lake. I may get rained out tomorrow though :-/ last chance before the major front that is going to @#$% our weather up for the next several days. Ya,I know the northerners are going boo-hoo,but daytime highs around 59 are no joke around here and you better bring a crowbar to pry the fish's mouth open > Would like to keep it until at least next week until this evil bluebird crap passes, but we'll see.
  21. Agreed RW.Not as good as others. I almost didn't even watch last night since "redemption" was very uninteresting.
  22. I think this is a good rule of thumb. The execption to the rule for me the past several years has been the color green pumpkin. I am throwing it a lot more in jigs and in worms and catching good fish in the clear waters here in NY, stained and muddy waters in the mid Atlantic region waters, and in the tanic waters of Florida. Maybe it is just me, but I have gained a lot of faith and confidence in using this color in a number of different plastic baits and jigs. Green pumpkin works in any kind of water. It is probaly the best "all around color" If the water is real nasty I just tip it with chartreuse or orange dye.Works like a charm 8-)
  23. Sorry I turned this into a craw debate fishin boy. (I'll try not to be so opinionated )I just can't stand berkley baits. For the 3 inch I would use a 2/0 extra wide gap hook and use a 3/0 EWG for the 4 inch
  24. Sorry I can't post any comments on the lucky craft.I have never used one. I haven't been able to find any reason to sway away from Lobina Ricos.
