  1. Easy choice, get some Paca Craws instead. 8-)
  2. Are we going to come up with a penalty system for anyone who loses it? ;D (Wait,I better be careful,it could be me.. :-X)
  3. I think he is sending it to fishindaddy first, then I may be up for second or third.I'll see what I can do Matt. That timeline may work out. 8-)
  4. Friggan Hilarious My guess is that was one of your fish pictures shrunken down right Paul?
  5. LOL @ Brent and Slomoe ;D
  6. Thanks to our volunteer Doug (Bassin_Blvd) we are going to pass around another new lure.I am not sure what the lure is yet but he will probably chime in and let us know. I will be doing my best to keep track of the progress of the lure as well as any members interested in participating. I will start a list of names in no particular order here and add to it as members post that they want to participate. When you finish with the lure pick a member to send it to or simply ask someone to PM you. In the other thread it was determined that there is really no way to make a set time limit to how long you can keep it. Just fish with it when you can.Everbodys situations are different, but try not to keep it too long.If you are unable to fish for a while due to whatever circumstances Try to send it to the next person in the interest of keeping it moving and getting it around to more members. It may come back to you sooner or later. Please try to post updates whenever possible. There were a lot of posts on the last thread asking where the lure is now and who is getting it. Post your photos and have fun.GOOD LUCK! ***MY appoligies to all the members who replied on the season one thread asking to be included.I figured it would be easier to create a brand new thread and start taking names to avoid any confusion. __________________________________________________________ Here is a starting list of those members showing interest,if you are not on the list please let me know. bassin_fin@tic Skunked in DR Dman Zbass Hunt4Hogs NitroMan mattm coldwaterbassin Marsh Master Fishizzle Tokyo Tony Tritz18 Bronzeback117 dsaavedra. 7. They don't seem to be any better or worse that I noticed as far as durability when wacky rigged. That is without the assistance of rings, tape, straws, shrink tube etc... Come to think of it,they do have a really nice fluent action when rigged wacky and look great!
  8. My favorite is a zoom jr.super fluke and I also like small swim shad bodies. This kind of trailer must be rigged PERFECTLY straight however, and I use a drop of glue usually. A good thumping grub can be used to put off extra vibration. If I use a double tail grub I usually rig it with the tails up and down. I also have been known to use the tails from spent 6-7 inch worms, jig chunks, tubes, sizmic toad bodies, flying lure bodies Most people use the slender twin tail trailers. They work fine,I just like to tinker with the trailer and don't get me started on all the crap I've stuck on the back of a chatterbait. ;D Remember though that too big of a tail or trailer can cause the bait to roll because of the extra resistance. If it rolls then it is either too big or not rigged straight.
  9. JMO though. I also use piano wire on occasion

Don't know about that but did you take a look at all the other products by that company they are selling? 51.99 for that frog type thing and 68.99 for a propbait??!! Sure the propbait is beautiful but c'mon. I guess it is one of those things that if I buy one I will instantly become a better fisherman :
  11. Amen Brother. I look like I live in a house full of moths.Made that mistake many times recently and I won't even talk about the condition of the carpet in my car or the seat :-/
  12. Excellent! Thanks a lot for sharing.
  13. Jeez! I haven't been able to buy a topwater bite lately, just overworking my wrist and hauling water by the buckets :-/ The time of the year is coming real soon though 8-) How clear is the water where you've been pulling off these feats? Just curious. Most of the places I am fishing are badly stained right now and am thinking this may have something to do with it :-?
  14. The best thing about that rod in particular is it perfect for a variety of techniques. From the plastics you spoke of,spinnerbaits up to 1/2 oz,small to medium cranks, finesse spilt shot and drop shotting shakey heads. I too would reccomend a Shimano Symetre of you dont want to spend a whole bunch. It is a well known fact to many people that this is about the best spinning reel for the buck. I use all braid and you shouldn't go higher than 20 lb for a spinning reel with 15 lb being ideal. I use 10 on my 2500 size reels it casts awesome and use 15 or 20 on my 4000 size reels.Power pro is the best I have put on a spinning reel.It seems to be made for it
  15. Huge fan here, although it is slightly less enjoyable since my substance abuse days are over ;D Have seen The Wall movie more times than I can count. You gotta love "The Trial" and "Comfortably Numb". Animals is still my favorite,or the live side of Ummagumma.
  16. Out in the open and no shanty, been there done that only once in my 25 yrs living in Ohio. Given the invitation now I must respectfully decline. No hard feelings eh?
  17. IMO chatterbaits catch fish but they don't catch well or consistently. In other words how many times do you hear people or even pros say it is the go to bait? Out of all the brands I have never had any better results with one or the other.
  18. What Fluke said.. I have had good success with a white/white blade when it is cloudy and didn't see the same results using a flashy silver blade. Black/black blade is my go to for the nasty tanic water I fish around here. Then it isn't about flash it is about silouette. I don't think that blade color will truly make or break you but it sure helps when you experiement sometimes.
  19. Since you are starting a nice collection Simp, you just gotta try the Deps Basirisky. It is more of a surface crawler, not a poppin, twitchin, buzzin frog.
  20. Quote Bobby" It has a dramatic new smell". Is this a bad thing ;D I like how old stuff was almost scentless.
  21. If you really want to fish pegged weights try the Gambler screw in,and they are making them in rattling version again Toothpicks should be fine also,as others have said.(low budget baby) I would really like an idea of how you are trying to use the rubber spikes that they won't work for you. Here is an idea of how to use it.Sorry no pics. 1)Put the weight on your line (it slides) 2)Tie your hook 3)Take pointy end of the rubber and push up through the bottom of the sinker. 4)there is a tiny slot or notch on the bottom of the rubber peg that you can choose to run your line through. 5)Grasp the sinker in one hand and use the other to pull the spike all the way through from the top until the flat bottom part is seated in the cup shaped part on the bottom of your sinker(You have too pull HARD especially if your line is thick) 6)Take scissors and trim the remaining rubber from the point of your sinker flush. The bobber stop concept works great too but not for me.I mostly use braided line and they won't stay.
  22. Check out the new snag proof frog. This looks like a money bait.Baitmonkey is screamin' : http://www.***.com/descpageHDTSNAG-SPBK.html
