Lets see....My father in law and i go every week. Out of all of my friends i have 1 who goes without me having to invite him. My parents too, but only on vacation like once a year and they dont care what they catch. At my job i have 1 co worker who goes but he throws minnows and will catch whatever bites. I think i am the lone BASS fisher of everyone I know meaning when i go it is for Bass and Bass ONLY. I will throw a rattle trap in some schooling sandies for fun until the school is gone but when im at the lake i am huntin for hawgs. Im in the great state of Texas.

Hands down without a doubt a Shimano Symetre 2500 FD and a Shimano Crucial 7 M/F rod. Compre is a very nice rod too but the crucial is THE BOMB. If money was not an issue i would have a boat full of them!

Berkley trilene xl or Berkley big game. I fished them both for a while and still use xl for top waters. stren is ok but trilene xl or big game is the bomb. I guarantee you will not be disappointed in either!

1/2oz rattle trap, super spot or Red eye shad. 3/8 oz white spinnerbait or shad color. 5" senko in a couple different colors. If i cant catch em on one of those then its a bad day.

Glad yall had a blast! My son is almost 2/12 and everyday he looks more and more ready to go. I plan on taking him to a small pond that is loaded with crappie and sunfish so he can get a fish a cast. Those are deff pictures to keep forever!

I had issues with the reps on the phone but when i sent in my symetre i had it back in the time i was qouted. Good luck and keep bugging them.

The trailer hook is the real deal. If im not fishing in heavy cover i use one 100% of the time. If im throwing in some thick crap i will sometimes at a small trailer or run with nothing at all. Like Bama said, change it up. If your getting strikes but not hooking up, slow your retrieve a little and see if that makes a difference. Make your jerks more erratic or delay an extra 2 to 3 seconds between them. Good luck and keep at it! A spinnerbait can be extremely effective when you learn what works in what conditions. It is my favorite way to catch a bass.

I actually store my firewood in my garage...Hope theyre not in my garage. Luckily my garage is not directly connected to the house. there is a covered walkway with about 3 ft seperating the garage and my actual house.

I have 4 rat traps set with peanut butter and cheese. We will see what i catch hopefully in the morning.

We moved into our house about 6 months ago and until about 10 minutes ago i have never seen a sign of a bug or rodent. Not a single roach or anything. We are very clean people. We do dishes daily and keep trash in covered trash cans. No empty containers laying around. Vaccum nearly daily cause having a 2 1/2 yr old and a 1 yr old can be pretty messy. We live in a nice middle class neighborhood. Now to the point! I went out in the backyard with my son to play t ball and when i opened the door and walked on the patio there is alot of what i consider mice droppings. Amongst all the mice droppings is one BIG turd which im assuming is a rat turd!!!!!!!!!!!They are along the wall of course, coming from the flower bed along the base of the wall on the patio and out into the yard. There is also about a 3 ft square that has a bunch of mouse droppings. About a month ago we started seeing random trash in our front and backyard. not alot, but like a cheetoh bag here and a empty donut bag there. None of which is our trash. I dont eat hot lime cheetohs! Now there is a small pile of 3 empty bags in the corner of the flower bed by the fence that are food wrappers. Can/do rats or mice carry bags around like that? Could that be why this trash is ending up in my yard? Im about to go to wal mart and buy some rat and mice traps and align them along the wall on the patio and in the flower bed. :badlanguage:

On a funny note. When i started training at my job 4 years ago, my buddy had already been there a while so we got stuck together. He is a lifelong dipper since 14. We went through a drive thru to get some lunch and he was eating and driving. My buddy drinks one kind of drink. Coke a cola in a bottle. He also spit sin only one kind of caintainer. An empty coca cola bottle. As you have probably already figured out, he got 2 big gulps of spit in before he realized what it was. He pulled over and threw up for ide say a GOOD 10 minutes. I will never dip because i am scarred by this experience LOL.

I have thrown the falcon lake craw on a jig head while bed fishing. Makes the claws stand up in the defensive position. Although i didnt do very well with it, i cant say if it was the craws fault. I threw everything at the few bedding bass i saw this year and couldnt hardly hookup with any of them. Try a keel weighted hook or swimbait hook with a screw lock. Its called " the rage rig". It gives it a a different fall and allows the claws to flappy a bit differently than a traditional T rig. Glenn actually made a video of it. You can find it in the fishing videos section i believe.

I rig them all Texas rigged with a 1/8Oz to 3/8 for deep water. the craws are insane as a trailer. The 10” Thumper is THE BOMB for fishing deep waters in summer.

Water dictates color for me so what works for me might not for you. I I have used every rage tail except the eliminator and Shad. They all produce fish for me. The space monkey is an excellent flipping bait. My favorite would have to be either the lizard or Hawg. I can't put down any of them though.

There have been so many of these cannibal stories lately that my local sports radio station i listen to all day while im working had a NZA draft. National Zombie Association lol. They picked who they would have protect them from the zombie apocolypse. They had me cracking up. I have heard of a few cases this week. The florida man, the maryland? student eating brains and heart, a man in sweden eating his wifes lips. A couple other cases that are just as crazy but not cannibal stories were shown today too. A man in canada killed someone and mailed body parts to people. Another man cut his stomach open an threw his intestines at police i believe. What is the world coming to!?!?!!??!

A hard hookset fishing a t rig is necessary to drive the hook all the way through the lip. With treble hooks IMO it is totally different. Your not going to get all 3 through the lip. I used to swing for the fences and my hook up ratio was horrible. try sweeping your rod to the side once you feel the weight of the fish. Keeping constant pressure on the fish is the, key since trebles are much easier to shake than a single hook that is all the way through the lip. What action rod are you using? Moderate action is preferred by most because you get a parabolic bend and play the fish with the entire rod vs just the tip. Good luck!!

5+ and im Very very happy. I have never been unhappy of any catch though.
