  1. X2. Im pretty sure its illegal to put anything other than a Shimano on a Shimano . In all seriousness i would definitely go with a Shimano Symetre, i guarantee you will love it.
  2. Welcome and good luck on a fast recovery so you can get back out.
  3. They look good so far Robert, cant wait to see what the finished projects look like attached to the rods .
  4. pfft only losers palm it. i palm it
  5. I believe it is your turn to ask a question now .
  6. LOL, I knew the fish in your avatar looked kind of odd .
  7. Welcome Mike 8-).
  8. I have a Kodak z700, it's not a bad little camera. Here is a pic i took at the lake Sunday morning.
  9. I likes dat one 8-). What part of Dallas are you in Clayton?
  10. Garmin Nuvi 260, and you can get it in pink if you like for the wifey. My brother bought one about 2 weeks ago and i used it to find some places. Its incredibly simple to work and you can find restaurants, stores etc. that you didn't even know existed in your city. If you find something you like, save it to your pinpoints and you have it right there for whenever you need it again. It tells you how many total miles you will travel and how many minutes (on a good day with not much traffic) it should take to get there. It has turn by turn voice prompts like most other Navigation systems also. If you want to go a little cheaper, i have a buddy who owns a TomTom One 3rd edition but it doesn't have as many features as the Garmin and i have been in the truck with him when it has given us not so much wrong directions just a longer way to our destination. If you look at alot of online site you may be able to find the Garmin for a little cheaper than 300$, my brother got his for 240$. Hope that helped, good luck.
  11. X2! Crawl it right up on her grill and then wiggle it until she wakes up.
  12. If money isn't an object here then you are one lucky dude. I dont even know what i would get if i had a limitless budget for one rod and one reel. If your looking for a jig and worm rod then i think the "G Loomis Mossyback Jig and Worm rod" would be in order-http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0042625121792a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=mossyback&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=mossyback&noImage=0 As for a reel i don't think you can go wrong with either an STX or a Curado. Good luck.
  13. Thats a big sponsor, welcome Mercury!
  14. I haven't used anything but a Super Fluke. I think they look great in the water.

  19. OUCH! I have been hooked a few times but never that deep.
  20. If your looking in the sub 100$ range i suggest the Citica 100%
  21. I usually just tell the bait how good it looks and just to build its self esteem up i will say "if i were a fish i would eat you right now". Thats when im rigging them up, i don't go to my tackle boxes and pick a lure to talk to, im not crazy.
  22. I had an Abu Garcia Cardinal 503 ALB and i liked it alot. I love the extra thick bail on it. For 49.99$ you can get a Shimano Sahara on sale which is an excellent deal IMO. Either way i think you will be happy.
  23. If you go here http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0030802119430a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=crucial&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=crucial&noImage=0 You can see what applications the rods work best with. For a topwater rod i would suggest a M/M OR MH/M in 6'6'' or 7. For an all around rod i think a 6'6'' or 7' MH/F or XF rod would be perfect. The CRC-X610MH is what i use for spinner/buzzbaits. Take a look at the link i provided and just check the "uses", it will help you decide.
