  1. You still haven't told us what kind of line you're using... mono, flourocarbon, braid?
  2. Dude, what kind of line are you using? I've NEVER had a spinnerbait just pop off on the cast. (fish them all the time) Thats crazy.
  3. my thoughts EXACTLY! Dang I wanna fish that.
  4. I use a Lake Fork Tackle Magic Shad on mine
  5. I have several different kinds of buzzbaits that I've never caught a fish on, and then I have a few cavitrons. They are the only ones I've caught fish with. Coincidence? Maybe. But I'll just stick to the cavitrons.
  6. Thats it right there. Apparently is also fools buyers for Dick's Sporting Goods. I haven't seen any of this at the Dick's where I work part-time. If we get any of it in, I'll be sure to feature it in a visible location.
  7. half ounce booyah boo jig w/ a ragetail LOBSTER!
  8. I use the booyah boo jigs more than any of the others. They come through brush better than most.
  9. Wow, thats so rude and ungrateful. Unbelievable. If someone with a boat took me out fishing I sure as hell wouldn't use their stuff or ask for money. I would want to at least buy that person lunch and cover the gas for the trip.
  10. There's plenty at my local Dick's and BassPro. I love the flappin hog. Great jig trailer, and I've caught countless bass on them weightless, t-rigged, and c-rigged. My first and only ten pounder was on a t-rigged flappin hog- color 301. These days I only use them when the bite is especially tough, because they are often a 'one fish bait' and I'll go through 3 packs or more in a trip.
  11. Looks like a paca craw to me. The nories bug has 2 small extensions on the end...don't see them in the picture but it could be because its blurry.
  12. I like rage tail lobsters, the claws are big and have great action. It slows down the fall a lot and it moves a lot of water.
  13. Thats so cool!!! I'm so jealous. I can't wait until my little one is catching his own. Way to go!
  14. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1243308311/0#0 Had it happen to me a couple times. Too funny.
  15. pretty cool. Looks like a baby crocodile lure. I'd fish it weightless.
  16. The pond is near highway 20, between Canton and Van. Its a little over an hour drive from home. I live right next to Lake Ray Hubbard, but I barely fish it as I don't yet own a real bass boat.
  17. I'd throw a rage tail shad or toad in those pads, or a spro bronzeye frog. (title cracked me up too, sounds like you're asking for medical advice)
  18. Wow, thats pretty cool. Though I'm surprised more 10lbers aren't caught in Lake Ray Hubbard. I drive over it every day and I don't see that many bass fisherman. I can't wait till I have a real boat and can get out there and fish it.
  19. Kinda late posting this, but I took my old man fishing on Sunday. We went out to the private pond I fish in East Texas at dawn, and though the fish were biting ok I just couldn't get one on the end of my dad's line. I never realized how important it is to be able to cast until I fished with someone that couldn't. (it was his first time bass fishing ) But, we had a great time on the water and it was the first time we've spent that much time together (just the 2 of us) in many years. I caught a few on a lobster/jig and caught a bunch with a lobster on a keel-weighted hook. Good times. Next time I'll bring some live bait for Dad. Here's one I caught on a lobster on a swimbait hook.
  20. Yeah, its gettin up to 100 for the next week here in Texas. I've never been night fishing but now I'm really motivated to try it out.
  21. Dang, I've been thinking about the same thing. A ragetail swimbait would be sweet.
  22. lets see, for wood cover there's jigs, and then there's jigs, jigs, and jigs. Oh yeah, don't forget to try a jig. And if that doesn't work, might want to give a jig a shot.
  23. That thing looks awesome! How long is it?
  24. Crankbaits. I have a bunch of them, I keep trying new ones but I just can't catch anything but itty bitty dinks on them. I mostly use plastics and jigs- sometimes spinnerbaits, frogs, and swimbaits.
