**Bed Fishing-VIDEO**
I wish I could see the video. When I click the link it says "server not found." Same thing happens whenever I click on any of LBH's links. Haven't had this problem with any other videos, just LBH videos.

Shakey heads on bigger plastics
Those ones in the pic above are the exact ones I use. I think they're called Giggy heads. I use them for flappin hogs, brush hogs, and yesterday I was slayin 'em with berkley chigger craws on those.

Things that make you feel stupid
I haven't done this in quite a while, but it really makes me feel stupid when I get a hit as soon as my lure hits the water...then I set the hook before I engage the reel. Extreme bird's nest.

New Jigs
I like the booyah boo jigs because of the narrow head. They come through brush/timber easily which is where I fish jigs most of the time.

How to fish a Chatter
Here's how I use it. step 1- remove the skirt step 2- replace it with a LFT magic shad or a fluke step 3- fish it like a spinnerbait, like Sam said Hold on! Strikes are often vicious!

Landing a fish: Fast or Slow
I do my best to avoid letting her head turn the other way. In the waters where I fish, if you let the fish run she'll get wrapped up in wood and you'll never see her. I get the fish to the boat as quickly as possible. My drag stays locked down and I use heavy line. There's no 'playing' a bass when the bottom of the lake is covered in trees and brush.

Fat Ika Hookup Problem
I've had it happen to me a few times. I'll get a hit and set the hook, only to get my lure back with the hook buried in all of that plastic instead of the fish's mouth. I haven't tried bending the hook, but I insert the hook over to one side on the skirted end, so the hook point is further out once its rigged. That's helped me a bit.

Top water help
I start throwing buzzbaits when the water temp gets over 50. I usually go topwater during low light conditions such as dawn, dusk, and cloudy days- but I've caught fish on topwater on sunny days as well. The fish will tell you if you've picked a good time to fish a topwater lure.

What species do you like catching better.
I'm not sure which I like better because I've never seen a smallmouth in person. I've never fished any waters that had smallmouth. I wish they could live down here in texas...

what's the best jig n trailer?
This is my number 1 jig by far. I have a half dozen of these in different sizes ready with trailers in my box all the time. Its a booyah boo jig with a flappin hog trailer. I always have one tied on. If the green pumpkin one isn't getting hits I'll switch to a black and blue version of the same thing. The skirt is kinda bunched up because I went a little overboard with the Megastrike. These days I just put the megastrike in the grooves on the 'flaps' and 'paddles' of the flappin hog. Works great and stays in there for a long time. Keeps the skirt open and full looking too.

lets hear your secret baits
Shhhhhhh!!!! He's just kidding folks, flappin hogs don't catch anything

Few nice ones
Had a great day yesterday. The wind was very, very calm and the sun was out...but I caught a few on my cavitron. Most of my fish were on a green pumkin jig though. Also caught a bunch on a white/silver spinnerbait.

How do you organize your tackle?
plano boxes, sorted with everything I need for a certain presentation. i.e. a t-rig box, a c-rig box, a 'weightless' box, a drop shot box, a jig box, a spinnerbait box, a crankbait box, etc... For plastics, I keep the hooks and weights with the plastics I mainly use for that presentation. The drop shot box has drop shot weights, circle hooks, and a variety of roboworms, trickworms, and finesse worms. The t-rig box has bullet weights, wide gap hooks, and creature/craw worms. The weightless box has senkos, kreatures, and fat ikas with a variety of EWG gammies. This way, when i want to throw something I just grab one box, rig it up, and put that one box back.

Which do you perfer??????????
I don't use any baits that have the name of the manufacturer on the bait. Bass are becoming quite educated these days and have learned to avoid the words 'zoom', 'bomber', and 'lucky craft' How many baitfish have you seen swimming around with brand names on them??? ;D
-
your number one bass catching bait!?!?! (lure you caught the most bass on all time)
t-rigged GYCB Flappin Hog in color 301 (green pumkin with green and purple flake) 365 days a year it produces for me. These days I only throw it when nothing else will work, because I'm trying to learn new techniques. I spent MANY trips just using the flappin hog. Caught my first 10 pounder on it, and I've caught more fish over 5lbs on it than any other lure...except maybe a jig with a flappin hog trailer.

Windy conditions
On very windy days I prefer a spinnerbait. The past few times I've been fishing in the wind I've done very well burning it near the surface. Jigs and carolina rigs are good for getting to the bottom. Use the weight needed to be able to feel whats going on.

Spinner bait and trailor hook.
I wouldn't do that if the water you're fishing has grass or wood cover. For open water it should be fine.

How do you rig your jig trailers?
All of my jigs have gycb flappin hogs on them. I've tried paca craws, rage tail craws, brush hogs, and many others- but nothing gets bit like a flappin hog for me. I think the fact that it doesn't flap around and make a lot of vibration is what makes it great. Its a more subtle presentation, which is far more reliable in my opinion. When the jig hops and then hits the bottom, the 'paddles' flip forward and then very slowly bend back. I cut the first 1/2 inch off of the top, so the flaps extend about an inch beyond the skirt. A picture is so much easier...

Great day
Today was a rough day on the water with very strong winds but it was worth it. Caught most of my fish on a white spinnerbait, but the biggest one hit a green pumpkin jig with a flappin hog trailer.

whats your two favorite shakey head worms?
roboworms and zoom trick worms

Snakes
Most snakes I just leave alone but if I see a water moccasin I blast him. I keep a shotgun in the boat in case I come across one. They are just too dangerous and aggressive to have around. I've had several close calls and I've just grown to distrust them. Any other snake I come across is left alone. They are incredibly useful at controlling rodents n such.

lake fork tackle "live" magic shad
I removed the skirts on all of my chatterbaits and replaced them with LFT live magic shads. I've caught so many fish on these. I also like to use them weightless, like a soft plastic jerkbait but with very long pauses. I try to make it look like its on its 'last leg' and moments from death. Its a killer technique in the winter and whenever the bass are sluggish.
