  1. 12' post, drive it in with a sledge, rigid attachment to bow that slides on pole. Otherwise, trailer.
  2. I mean...that grocery list sounds like a decent party... I'll never forget three weeks in Memphis without power in the ice storm of 94.
  3. So a couple things - Clean yourself up first. Lay off the booze and smoking. Veins arent going to burst if they're not compromised, and for that matter, veins dont hurt. Something is hitting or has hit a nerve around it. Work through that first. Start with walking or working to get moving and develop some cardio. See how that feels. When you want to start wanting to get serious about toning and adding mass: 1. Diet is everything. Protein builds muscle. Arnold recommended 1 gram of protein per lb of target weight per day. Too much food builds the wrong mass. 2. You need someone to hold you accountable. For some people that is themselves. For most people they need a partner/buddy/nag/message board thread. 3. Set manageable goals initially. Challenging youself is good, injuring yourself is counterproductive. Body weight exercises are going to be just as effective for you as weights for at least 6 months. Body weight is also cheaper. 4. Do not watch AJ's videos. That guy is a BEAST and just makes us mortals feel inadequate. 5. Some days will be good. Some days will be a sweaty, bloody grind. But you never quit. NEVER GIVE UP.
  4. I'm not familiar with those rods, and 'swimbaits' covers alot of territory from crawlers to big softies. Generally speaking if it can handle musky lures it'll handle bass lures. There's just some nuance to what you fish with what when it comes to action and sensitivity.
  5. There's a mostly set amoint of biomass that can exist in each level of an ecosystem. Absent the lake being interconnected with other watersheds, there's only so much a bass can do to find food. Colorado isn't exactly Florida when it comes to warmwater biomass. Smaller lakes exhibit this with more severity than larger. If you go catch and reslease only you will need to add biomass at the lower levels in the form of something the fish can eat. If you don't, the population will stunt over a fee years as fish dont grow truly large because the food isnt there to support them. A simpler solution is that its time for a few fish frys.
  6. I have a friend that's broken two and lost one. I only give him my older stuff that I want/need to replace and he generally doesnt disappoint.
  7. The insert goes inside the hull and supports the deck. Mine is a 2015 and doesnt have the Seadeck applied that some of the newer models do.
  8. 12 lb CXX should be fine for the 175. I use 15 lb CXX for everything under 6 oz as long as its over or around 1 oz.
  9. Of course he didnt...you need to purge them in cornmeal overnight or else theyre gritty.
  10. If you havent thrown swimbaits before maybe start with the 68 and 8 and see if you really want to throw the 10. Its a brick.
  11. Primarily horizontal for me, but poppers with a little booty sag arent the worst thing in the world. Depebds on whats under the water. I also love that this threat degenerated into math dad jokes.
  12. 1/8 oz roostertails and weightless trick worms for small creek bass - and i do with regularity!
  13. Its another - 'it depends' as fsr as the wet clothes. Layers of wet clothes, especially wool or fleece, will still hold geat and keep evaporative cooling from happening at ypur skin surface. If you have a long walk or whatnot, better to leave the layers on as long as theyre not too heavy. Once you have a good heat source and/dry clothes, get out of the wet clothes. They wont keep you warm but they'll slow your chill better than running around nekkid. This is NOT true of a thin cotton or microfiber layer. That will speed your cooling as it wicks and evaporates moisture. Some if the worst times to fall out are indian summer evenings where the air is initially warm but water is cold.
  14. Three at most, two preferably, and I can have a great day with one. Using the kayak means simplifying for me so I try to streamline it so there's less to get in the way and/or kick into the drink.
  15. 75 in Charlotte on Tuesday...
  16. I'll eat chitlins fried but not just boiled. I also love fried chicken gizzards. As for on the water, historically its Mtn Dew, Funyuns, and beef jerkey with whatever candy bar I feel like for dessert. Now with a 10 yr old its GORP, m&ms, and an apple with some water.
  17. I have an LDC spinning rod that I use for swimbaits up to 4ish oz. I can throw a punker forever on that rod with braid.
  18. That IS the good stuff! Two bangs on the pot to settle the grounds and let's go!!!! Modernized in my JetBoil of course...
  19. I ise the above method to put my Nucanoe Frontier on top of my 4Runner. A couple well-placed mats save a lot of wear and tear both on the vehicle and boat. I am 5'6" and about 170 but its no problem.
  20. Thats not outside the box, thats inside the dumpster. Nice!
  21. Dunkin is the Coors Light/Miller Light/30-06 of cofffees for me. I dont dislike it, you can find it anywhere, its cheap, consistent, and it does its job. McDonalds on the other hand destroys my GI tract like no other...
  22. I definitely love my french press when i want a good strong quality cup. We use a Mr Coffee with unbleached filters for the day to day coffee pot though.
  23. The Cometeer cups are all aluminum and recycle easy as once you run ut theres no grounds left in the cup, but again - theyre not cheap.
  24. Pretty self explanatory. We found Counter Culture in Raleigh and haven't looked back. I drink it hot, black, and bottomless. I've had some from Cometeer if you're looking for a different option for a Kuerig. The stuff from Cometeer is remarkable.
