I broke my ML savvy a hour & a half ago on a 1 lbs bass. The rod broke in two places. I don't no if I want to even give Dobyns another chance. The rod had been used maybe 5 times as my drop shot rod.

The avocet 2000 is a really nice reel. I had the AV2000 and it was 8.8 oz and I had over 6 years with no problem at all.

BT I have a Kistler Crank rod & it does not rip threw the grass but cleans the grass out of the lake. That's why I am leaning toward a MF rod with a soft tip or a MH fast rod which most would rate really a Mod fast.

Does the LTB 7"MF have a soft enough tip for cranks

RW I knew you say that but if I buy a MM rod Hands down it would be the Avid MHM for more versatility. I can throw almost any cranks.

I looking to purchase a new crank bait rod for lipless crankbaits & medium divers (up to 10 ft). I am leaning toward a Avid 7'0 MF & powell 704C crank rod. Have anyone used the Powell rod or whats out there?

I prefer the Gamma High Performance over all & I also use the Yo Zuri Ultra Soft as well. I stocked piled the 8 lbs & 12 lbs gamma line in green.

I have several crankin set ups but my go to is the kistler magnesium 7'0 crankin rod with a Revo premeir with 12lbs gamma copoly. I use my 7'0 fenwick HMG (MH) with a accurist PT501 for all my 3/4 oz cranks & spinners

I have a brand new ST Croix Avid 6'8" EX fast spinning rod I bought for soft plastic. The problem is that I have two many soft plastic rods & would like to know about other presentations that this rod will fit before I unload the Avid.
