  1. If you feel the boat, trailer, and trolling motor are worth it fine, but a 54 y/o motor will be hard to get parts for, will have frozen fasteners, so in mho is not worth much at all.
  2. These have been around forever, can be tough to cast in the wind, but have a great wobble to them even at slow retrieves.
  3. Razor takes too long, guillotine is much quicker
  4. So does a guillotine ;D
  5. Hey Rangerjoe, how does the Luna compare to the Abu C-5 mag? I've been looking for a Luna but used ones are rare. More of a "want" not a need
  6. Hey Rangerjoe, tell us about the luna 103. What you use it for mostly, lure weight, ergonomics. Thanks
  7. Didn't mean that the way it sounds
  8. LOL. I'm pushing 70. To me, 28 IS like new. Yeah, but you didn't have some fat guy on your back, going as fast as he could ;D
  9. Must be like new, it's only 28 years old right?
  10. He is the most stubborn person you met, but I've known him all my life and he loves fishin'. He will not use a spinning reel, and definitely not a baitcaster. He has at least two of every Zebco EVER made, I kid you not
  11. Like I said, it's for somebody who uses a spincaster, not myself. I was going to take a picture to show what I meant, but I don't even have a snap. I haven't used a spincaster in 45 years. Thought it might be useful for somebody's kids.
  12. Always wanted to try an EXT, what weight lures do you use them for? Abu has a habit of dropping reels that I like, the C-5 for instance.
  13. No, you slide the piece of grub or worm over the connection end of the spinner/buzzbait then put the snap on. This prevents the snap from sliding down and tangling the bait. you also can use the same idea to keep a trailer hook in place.
  14. Friend of mine uses spincasters all the time , so he also uses snap swivels to keep line twists at a minimum. When he uses spinnerbaits or buzzbaits they tangle almost every time. Instead of using rubberbands, that always get lost, I cut a small grub cross ways, slide it over the end before he puts the snap on. Works well, and makes use of chewed up grubs. Scissors work good to cut a thin piece out of the grub (or worm). Maybe this will help somebody
  15. I mostly use round reels, Abu C-3,4,and 5s. but without a doubt my three Cabelas Prodigy round reels are the best JMO
  16. I have no idea what your boat looks like but, if the lid is squeaking from a rub, couldn't you go to HomeDepot and get some weather stripping? they have many different types, should be able to find something that'll work. Maybe use silicone to glue it in place.
  17. I live on a lake that has a drawdown. I find a lot of lures in and around rock-piles, as a side benefit it keeps them away from dogs. They seem drawn to the scented ones.
  18. If that boat could talk-----You'd be a rich man! ;D
  19. Or spend more time watching the Smurfs
  20. Fish alone a lot do ya? ;D By choice. Choice??? Yours or theirs??? Just kidding
  21. I live in the NW side of Ct., yeah the rain/flooding is incredible. Still have ice on the lake I live on,edges are open a bit. I think the runoff from the roads with their sand/salt will cause problem, combined with soil/septic overflow. There are house around with water half way up their front door. It's crazy for sure.
  22. A lot of people fall for stuff like that. They want to believe something will help. Far worse are the people making false claims knowingly, just to rip people off.
