A friend of mine has one. Nice toy, but not really useful for fishing. Very limited field of vision, they work best at night. If you are looking for something dropped overboard, fine, but like was said you can't fish at the same time.

I have not seen too many Luna's used around. I have been looking for that or an Abu Garcia C5 which are hard to find since they stop making them. Cabela's used to make(sell) an excellent round reel also. I have a few of those.

Completely agree. Alcohol is just more accessible than "hard" drugs, which is why it kills more people. Right you are. Which is why "hard drugs" are illegal. Alcohol is legal because it is more widely acceptable, AND the government can make money on it. :

Isn't it something people mention lures that work great for some in their waters? Gives me a good excuse for having so much stuff!

Try different retrieves. Sometimes burning them, then let them drop works, they will hit it on the drop. That's just one way to use them. Don't be afraid to experiment, just like any other lure you use.

Definatly not the norm for any of those lures! Might be cause you don't give them enough time? What have you been substituting for them?

I have one of those tools cause I fly fish, but a piece of heat-shrink tube will also work in a pinch.
