  5. wow i really like that bait i never seen it before i really would like to try one on a drop shot rig. Does anyone know where u can buy one from? i would rather buy from a store than online but will so if anyone can give me alittle help about that i would appreictiate it
  6. tubes, flukes and finess worms to start with just wondering are u talking about one of the potomac rivers?
  7. hmm im dont sure if the bass will move shallow or not they might just to take advantage of the abunlent feed when a river floods. i love fishing flooded rivers in the summer i will throw a shallow running shad looking crankbait into somebodies front yard and be ticking the grass of 1 foot water and will be smacking the smallies hmm all that i can say is give it a shot because u never know
  8. wow really? thats awesome my local GM has them in stocked with a bunch of colors im going to wait to buy them til may when i usally use tubes. i was wondering if any certain colors stand out better than others? i was leaning towards a craw color but a crawfish really doesnt smell like coffee so im not sure which colors to buy at first.
  9. o no its cool well sounds like a great trip i have only been up there once for steelhead it was a long time ago though well email me them pics how cold was it?
  10. i love the model A im not 100% sure why the bill is pointed but i have heard from some people that square billed cranks bounce of wood pointed bills bounce of rocks but its a great smallmouth crank thats for sure
  11. ok let me know im probably free this weekend so give me a call if u want a fish somewhere on saturday
  12. yea your creek channels probably would be the coldest water in the lake this time of year maybe try around the dam or in bigger coves
  13. ok i fish the drop shot alot!!! first the way to stand out the hook is to tie on a finess hook. use a clinch knot but leave yourself alot of extra tag line once completed run the tag line through the eye of the hook from the point side down so it stands up then with the tag line tie on your dropshot weight i like 1/4ounce for most places but when im fishing deep water shore structure i use 1-2 ounce weight i use mono most of the time but ocassionally will switch to fluoro if they are not biting very well. and finally the lure. my favorite is the strike kine 3x finess worm 4 inch but other favorites are a wave worm paddle tail bait and a robo worm
  14. i got some in early december but havent used them yet so i really dont know how they will work. it should be a great bait for smallies since its profile is the excalt same so tubes
  15. hmm i fish the potomac river in md but never heard of a pokomoke river unless it is out east around annapolis or baltimore area
  16. yea they probably would get a little active but still very tough to catch i heard that it is supposed to cool down towards the end of the week and be in the 20s this weather sucks i hate this off and on warm and cold trend
  17. yea well i knew where the first spot was from when i normally go we just had to scan around to locate it then the hump we found was awesome we where just idling up the river about 20 yds from the bank and the graph shot up then back down i was on my neighbors boat but he let me have the trolling motor since i knew where to fish at the deep structure i was casting out a football head 1/2 ounce jig with a pork trailer i was switching up with the senko alot too. well at the hump i was dead sticking a pegged t rig with a screw in 3/8 ounce weight the senko i was using was actually a 5 inch wave worm tiki-stick in watermelon/red flake which is pretty much black with some red flake i was casting then bounceing the bottom til i knew i was on the hump then just let the bait sit right there and those smallies were just smacking it
  18. i fished that day too and was fishing about the same depth as you. Here the sun was high no clouds and the water temp was starting to warm into the 40s. I decided to go alittle shallower and found them on a hump about 10 feet deep with 20 foot dropoffs on each side i caught 6 dead sticking a senko off the bottom
  19. wow i have never seen them before they are really wierd looking but look good in teh water i liked when they showed it as a trailer for a jig
  20. ill go with burress on this one GIANTS win 21-17
  21. yea i seen that too but when i use swim jigs if i set the hook right away i usally lose the fish i load up like fly fishing i just put pressure on teh fish and rise my rod tip up usally they get hooked pretty good that way
  22. idk about feb 2 i had work but on feb 3rd to day i went to the three rivers in pittsburgh and found a 10 foot hump with 30 feet pools on each side and caught 6 smallmouth the biggest about 13 inches my buddy caught 5 nothing big though
  23. o sorry thought there was no there is a stoney creek about 10 minutes from fishn's house yea i couldnt my neighbor the one who is taking me to the susqehanna called around 11 or 12 asking me if i wanted to go fishing at the 3 rivers seen the water was nice. well fishn we went to a spot on the mon and it was about 30 feet deep with some logs and stuff on the bottom we fished around it with some senkos and jigs nothing i was actually surprised the sun was very hot and the temp wasnt bad so we decided to go alittle shallower we found a hump about 10 feet deep with 20 foot dropoffs on each side We hammered them!!!! i caught 6 and he caught 5 all smallmouth and the biggest one i caught was about 13 inches great day!!!
  24. yea smallmouth there are spots that u can fish off of the bank and still catch fish this time of year well first u will need really deep water there will have to be some type of structure there i really like a grouping of random rocks in deep water so move around fishing really deep water intil u find the fish it will probably take a lot of searching to find a hole holding alot of fish but if u find a spot really deep that is holding fish it will produce all winter long intil the water warms up and the fish start to move to prepare for the spawn put a senko on a jighead and fish very slowly
  25. up here in PA for winter fishing i just dead stick senkos on deep rock piles prespawn i throw jigs, jerkbaits and chatterbaits spawn tubes, hula gurbs and senkos postspawn june and july i throw everything at them mostly topwater and flukes but use jigs for deep structure august i throw alot of craws around bolders and rock points semetember i will throw alot of finess worms octaber i will use jigs and whatever else that will suit the changing conditions
