I picked up a pair of the Skull Candy ones alittle while ago when they were on sale at Circuit City. They were probably the mid range one as they were on sale for $20. I've been very happy with them. Keep alot of noise from my train ride to school out.

Hey guys I might be heading across the state at the end of April for a tournament and just wondered if anyone would be able to offer some advice. I've never been out that way before and just trying to do some homework early. Thanks, bassdocktor

Ghost they are nice reels, especially for that price. I have one Burner and 2 of the Power ones. I haven't had a problem with any of the 3. Mine don't squeel either. I think there are some out there than do and some that don't. Yes they are on the heavier side but if you've never had a reel that weighs 5oz you may never notice it. As far as comparison I can only compare it to the old green Curados. Usuing both side by side its easy to switch between them. They are really easy to adjust if you are switching baits because you either turn a dial or a nob, no taking off side plates. That is a nice feature. Probably what Basser89 meant is that he will turn the ACS dial. I can't say I've ever had that problem, but like he said it is probably the way he is holding the reel. Do a search and you'll find alot of posts about these especialy from when they first went on sale last year. Just realize you will see a lot of negative feedback from people that haven't picked up a Quantum with the last 5-10 years. Hope this helps, bassdocktor

Maltese, not sure if he still does or not still but he was working on starting their club. Obviously that is back 2 or 3 years now. When I was in D and R his dad and I were talking about it one time.

Not that is goes in the corruption bin but the budget for the IL state scholars got cut the year I was going to college. It'll be interesting to see what else they find as more and more is discovered. The one good thing I can say about the govenor is he is partly responsible for me being in pharmacy school. I wanted to work for the IL DNR but he kept cutting jobs and funding. I figured I just might want a job when I graduated so I started looking else where.

Yeah the winter can be no fun some times. I've also heard those lightbulbs can help. I knew someone that had depression and they were told to get one. But I guess if you are in school it helps alittle because that will occupy some time. Honestly I'm glad I found snowmobiling last year. Now it gives me something to look forward to in the winter. Atleast when the boat gets put away the sleds come out.

My myspace is only up because I need somewhere to post assignments for a class. The teacher wanted it all our stuff on the web so anyone in our class could view it. Facebook used to be a good way to find people in your classes back when it was only open to college students. Yes it's better to talk with people in person, but when you don't have their phone number it's pretty handy. If enough people are on there its a pretty good way to communicate with a large group of people other than through email. That's what we do as a class. If there is something going on that's not related to school it's a great way to spread the word. Then you just have let the people without it know whats going on too. Out of 163 people in my class 119 are on there.

I'm not sure how northeast ou are looking. But, should you just mean areas that are included in this forum most of the Big Ten schools all have teams. I know Western Michigan has a team aswell. There are alot of others with new ones poping up all the time. Plus, you can always start one. Just go to some of the websites for the places that have the tournaments and you can see who has them.

It's true a finals thread would get way to distracting. But....it's interesting to see all the people pulling out the caffein pills and anxiety meds now.

Tin don't you love sites like turnitin.com and blackboard with their plagarism checkers? Probably a good idea but those programs are a little sensative. I'm right there with you. Finals everyday next week.

LBH I've had a few friedns use it to review what they already know and have found it pretty helpful. But, I don't have any personal experience.
