  1. Exactly what I was thinking...all the other stuff is affordable....Give me a lifetime supply of those ridiculously expensive swimbaits...sebile magic swimmers or king shad from strike king
  2. You really think he could start over Martel or Falco?
  3. I've got a few setups but only 4 that I really like...so..i try to be technique specific, knowing that I will probably change a couple things throughout the day.
  4. I enjoyed that very much.
  5. Who really gives a crap....my wife watches the show and I can't stand it. Probably my least favorite show on T.V. It's like something they would have shown on showtime late night 15 years ago. TV is absolute garbage these days. There are very few, if any, family shows left on anymore...nothing that I've seen that I would want my kid to watch...
  6. Kind of hoping that I could use it for jigs and plastics...I'm wanting the 7 ft. MH model.....you think it would suffice? How's the sensitivity?
  7. This guy has a great opportunity to show the world that people can reform. He has been given a great gift at a second chance. I really hope he makes the most of it. I think its got to be a team like the patriots...someone who really doesn't need him, and they are strong enough where if something did happen with him, it wouldn't hurt them. They have very strong leadership and a very strong core.
  8. Amen to that! Those big ones are cool to have, but dang....I'm absolutely impressed at the number of people here who don't owe anything on what they have.
  9. I am beginning to realize/develop the opinion that summertime middle of the day fishing is just about pointless unless you have decent electronics and know how to use them.....You've got to know where the cover is and where the ledges and drop offs are. I'm starting to get it through my head, but I still need a LOT of practice.
  10. 2007 Xpress SV17 w/ 50HP Yamaha. Pay 150 per month, total purchase price was around 12ish brand new. I was scared of engine issues and lack of warranty. However, the only reason we financed the boat really was because we paid cash for vehicles. Still, probably should have waited and paid cash for the boat. My advice would be to always pay cash for depreciating assets. If you don't have cash, wait till you do.
  11. Congratulations!!!!! You guys chose a beautiful name!
  12. Zoom ultravibe speed craw-depending on the skirt length and hook size of the jig, I might bite off the first 1/2 inch of the trailer to make everything as pretty as I want it.
  13. This is the split grip style rod that runs about 50 bucks at academy. Does anyone have an opinion on them?
  14. Hopefully someone did that on purpose to give folks like us something to make fun of. That is the best "random photo of the day" yet
  15. I have had full intentions on taking a little break, especially after a couple of outings where I catch nothing but a chapped behind and a sunburn... but i still find myself refreshing the sunburn and the chap-ed-ness every weekend.
  16. For real..thats a cool picture.
  17. You can already tell how pretty she is!!!! Congratulations!!! We had a few of those, my wife was working at an OBGYN office at the time....unfortunately the goofy kid was uncooperative, lots of pictures of his butt...
  18. Just like those other guys said.... Some people are lucky enough to be uber-talented and/or gifted to have sensitive hands.....but you can improve your sensitivity greatly with some work and some serious focus. Just like in baseball though...some people are natural hitters. They don't have to work nearly as hard to be a 300 hitter. Some people are not naturally gifted and have to work twice as hard to hit 250.
  19. How could he not be? He's not a one man show, but he's dang close. Like someone else said before, defenses know he's coming, but they still can't stop him. And what about the intangibles? Has their ever been a greater leader and motivator?
  20. from what I've heard, someone reversed the peephole on her hotel room door, and then took the liberty of getting photo/video while she was changing clothes....that sucks dude.... she's absolutely hot, but dang...thats just creepy
  21. Kinda echoing what a couple have said, I trust the high end guys because they can take their pick of who they want to be affiliated with, and if I was in that situation, I would choose folks who provided good products with good customer service. I like to believe that this sport has a very high percentage of folks who are good quality people of good character who would do the same. That being said, I don't see a whole lot of folks really pushing Lake Fork Trophy Lures like some other companies, but I think they make some awesome stuff. I also trust Boyd Duckett now (not that he's not a high end guy) because he has proven that no matter how much money may or may not be associated with it, he will not push a product that he does not believe in.
  22. I'm a ryobi fan because its not ridiculous expensive and its pretty good quality for what you and I will be using them for. I put my 18v cordless drill through a lot over 2 years of remodeling a house and it held up awesome. However....they sat for about a year after that, and I now need to replace the batteries due to no use. DON'T rely on the 18v circular saw for anything!!!! I've yet to use one that will hold up as long as it needs to. I also have a ryobi miter saw, works great. $50 for a craftsman circular saw that will do everything you need it to do.
  23. don't know about everything else, but put lake fork craw tubes on your list
  24. I know an 8 pounder when I see one, and that my friend is an 8 pounder. Congratulations. "Long and skinny" thats what she said
  25. I've played exacty 18 holes in my entire life, and spent about 4 total hours on the driving range. Long enough to learn that I hate it with a passion.
