    GOOD ONE!
  2. Wouldn't it be nice to relegate the rain to Monday-Thursday. Rain all it wants to then....Leave the weekend alone.
  3. Regardless of the sentencing and fees and crap, DRUNK DRIVING IS A TERRIBLE, RIDICULOUSLY IRRESPONSIBLE CRIME. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE TAKE THIS WAY TOO LIGHTLY.
  4. I absolutely hate horror movies, topping that off....i hate the Rob Zombie stuff where he thinks up all the nasty disturbing stuff he can and then puts it in a movie. Also hate devil movies....possessions and stuff like that.. THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE IS THE SCARIEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. I prefer some good sarcastic humor....
  5. Here's the situation... Water temp is 85 degrees, around 6:30 in the evening, fishing an Alabama reservoir. I've found a not so secret hump right near the river channel that I was able to absolutely wear out some 8-10 inchers on a Pop-R. Caught 8 in 10 casts. I spent a little bit of time trying to fish a texas rigged worm fairly slow to try to pick up a big girl...no luck...do you think there are any big girls there? Am I wasting my time trying to find these in this particular spot? Do you think I just hit a school of babies? All help is appreciated!

3 SEC teams. NICE!!!! Once again...proving who is the best athletic conference in the country. I HATE LSU football. With a mad passion. But, I LOVE LSU baseball! No one knows baseball like Louisiana.
  8. I'm in a period of getting back to the 90's.... 1. Nirvana 2. Smashing Pumpkins 3. Pearl Jam I'm also on a HUGE breaking benjamin kick right now. Some really good stuf.
  9. I've never put my eyes on Lake Wedowee (alabama) in my life. I'm going to fish this weekend and just like anyone else, I'd like to know as much as possible before I make that 65 mile trip. Any help you guys/gals might offer would be much appreciated. Specifically: 1. Does it stay stained or is it typically very clear? 2. Is there any standing timber? Cypress trees? What about submerged timber? 3. I've heard its a VERY deep lake, is this true? 4. Any grass? Pads?
  10. To echo previous sentiments, that is absolutely a tough lake for people new to it. I live in Opelika and I consider that one of my home lakes. Haven't had a huge amount of success, but the one thing I have lots of confidence in is fishing the bridges, and absolutely beating them to death. From experience though, those bridge fish won't win any tournaments, but they'll get you some numbers. The best luck I've had other than the bridges is fishing around rock piles with all different types of soft plastics, beavers, craws, tubes, etc....the people who are most successful there have been fishing it for quite a while. Stay at it. Shoot me a P.M. if you need a buddy one weekend, I'll show you what little I do know.
  11. Thank you all so much. Bad run capacitor was the culprit. You guys saved me at least 100 bucks. I was scheduled to have a service guy come out today which would have been $80 just to pull in my driveway, then you know he would have charged me $40 for a $20 capacitor. I went early this morning and paid the $22.92 for the new one and put it on myself-the thing runs like a dream now. Thanks again.
  12. 1. FILL OUT YOUR FAFSA YESTERDAY! You have to do it every year if you even want to be considered for any type of financial aid, including federally subsidized student loans. These are the ones you want because you don't pay anything until after you graduate, and interest doesn't accrue until then. 2. I would 100% of the time go through the financial aid office. They will give you a list of preferred lenders and tell you the advantages of each's loan program. Each one has some type of incentive to counter the other guys. For some, its lower interest rates, some knock off a certain percentage of principle if you pay on time for a certain length, all kinds of stuff. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GO THROUGH THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE! 3. Bring your patience, be a stickler about getting some help. The people in the financial aid office are paid to do everything they can to get your tuition paid for and generate that University revenue. Make them tell you what you want to know. Make them hold your hand throughout the process because there are small mistakes that can be made that can end up costing you a lot of time and/or money. Don't hesitate to PM me if you need any type of info or advice. GOOD LUCK, AND GREAT DECISION TO GET THAT EDUCATION FINISHED UP!
  13. I appreciate the heck out of the advice. I'm going to check after I get home this afternoon. Luckily, its not miserably hot yet....
  14. In a quick nutshell, this is my problem... We have a 10 seer heat pump 1. Fan motor on outside unit has to be "jump started." Once I spin it, it runs on its own. 2. Not blowing cold air inside. Kinda room temp air.... 3. Usually the air coming off the fan on the outside unit is warm, right now, its not....fairly cool? Reversing valve? capacitor? freon? Any suggestions????
  15. The 7'6" H will be a flipping machine! I would also consider a 7'0" Medium action with as fast of a tip as I could find for spinnerbaits. 6'10" MH is a great general purpose size and power.
  16. Personally, the only round reel I have (a hand me down cardiff), I use strictly for flipping. I would definitely want a low-pro for fishing anything moving. I don't think you can go wrong with a citica..If you really want to try something else, try a Daiwa. I own an Exceler ($79), and have fished a lot with my brother's strikeforce ($49) and have been very, very pleased with each, and these are the lower end Daiwa reels. As for the tired arms, in my experience, I would be looking for a switch with the rod maybe as well. When using spinnerbaits, I really, really like a Medium action rod with as fast of a tip as possible, but have experimented with a MH rod with a fast tip and noticed that it was much less labor intensive. You just don't have as much resistance.
  17. Have you heard the dollar figure? I've heard some ridiculously large numbers....as in the highest paid coach in college athletics money
  18. I can't help myself when I get around a double cheddar cheese log and some sun dried tomato and basil wheat thins.
  19. Pretty cool. Do you have another tank for your many species of bass?
  20. I always peg, or I use a shaky or football jig type hook. Don't know what my "pegs" are called, but they are basically tapered rubber strips about 3 inches long. Slide them through the bottom or top, then clip the ends. Work great.
  21. "wake and bake"?????? cookies? cake? muffins? buncha dang hippies.
  22. I tried fishing a lizard like this once, but it didn't help. Turns out you have to be in the vicinity of fish to catch them.
  23. Welcome to the site!
  24. I absolutely second the sentiment of "don't give them a monthly payment target." If you tell them you want to be below 300, they can find a way to get you below 300 in a truck that should actually be below 250..etc.. When I buy, i use cars.com just to see what stuff is selling for. There are some really awesome deals on some lightly used trucks at this point.
  25. Very sorry to hear this, those are someone's children lifejackets, lifejackets, lifejackets
