Most informitive PRO or SHOW......your opinion?
Those of you that read Basmasters may know what I am talking about. The cartoon in there Harry and Charlie Feb 08 page 22 says it best. "I caught em crankin"- what the leader of thebass tounament, who happens to be sponsored by a crankbait manufacturer tells the crowd after weighing in a limit of lunkers he caught on spinnerbaits!!!

Everything has gone crazy. Now that Brunswick bought Triton you get signifigant saving for putting Merc and Motorguide on when you buy. Ranger discounts for Yammie now. You used to get savings on Ranger with a Rude and MinnKota. Who is Pushing the Rude now? Its all about what I can do for you maybe!!!

boat handling video
I have never been in a Ranger that chined really bad (they are on the heavy side) but they do handle the rough stuff well. My first fiberglass rig was a Ranger R-17.

Hello from the new guy
I started out in a flat bottom john boat and still have one. I can take it places my Triton couldn't think of going. One of my favorite places to fish has no launch anywhere and I can just back up to the water and slide it in. Welcome!!!

Shadowing a guide
No, if I get too irritated I will throw out the anchor pull up the trolling motor and sit on a hole on purpose. I hunt too and patience is one thing I have going for me. Have you ever had a boat pull within 20 feet and cast to the same area? That tries the old patience. Most tourneys here if you are anchored with the tm up others must give you at least 50 feet some circuits 50 yards! The biggest lake in Ohio (besides Erie) is only 10,000 acres. And the next biggest is about 6000 at full pool, the rest are 4000 and under.

Welcome Spring!!
For the most part the lakes hve opened up in N.E. Ohio. We got a few inches of snow friday night but it is gone. Now I am just waiting for my dealer to get me back my boat. They have had it since November. Could have picked it up a couple of weeks ago but we had 20 inches and I had them go ahead and replace the thermostats on the Opti to be sure they were good to go. It kept fouling plugs and the stats are notorious for that. At 24 bucks a plug from my dealer thats not cheap. However I found a site that has the same plugs for $12

Shadowing a guide
I hate it when people shadow me waiting for me to move or something. I could imagine a guide having someone shadowing him

Fiberglass vs. Aluminium
I was fishing the upper end of the Allegheny river as far as I dared once. (because of the car sized boulders) Next thing you know a guy in a aluminum boat with a jet outboard came flying upriver. I have to admit I was at that point a bit envious. He was able to get places I only wished I could. Aluminum definitaly has it's good points!

Most informitive PRO or SHOW......your opinion?
KVD: When he talks about bass all you have to do is listen. He is all about bass. However he is not opn alot of programs for any length of time. Bill Dance: Very informative. So what if he is fishing stocked pig farms he is still teaching you, and keeping you interested. In-Fisherman/Angling Edge. Gives you the science to go along with the guesswork.

boat handling video
Yeah my boat will chine like nuts when it's not set up properly. First time I went past 66 I thought all hell was breaking loose. Then I read and expierimented with the set up now I get very little if any. Believe me we have the rough water up here Lake Erie is like 25 to 30 minutes from my house and when I say rough water I mean 4+ footers. When I bought my boat I looked at all major brands and choose Triton because the are rugged, well organized and downright rockets. Rarely do I get wet in my boat. They handle rough water well and I get to see so many other brands as I fly past them.lol. Seat time is important but so is the proper set-up. I just wish I had a video 7 years ago to get me started!

I am planning on putting together a video this spring on how to drive your high performance boat. Proper set up, handling chine, navigating other wakes and some rough water video. At a very reasonable price Are people here interested? I have seen another but it really was a joke.

WHY DO MY TRITON LIVEWELL DUMP WATER?
There are six pumps in the system 2 pump in 2 recirculate and 2 for the pumpouts. The pump ins use the same port to draw water that the manual drains (rubber plugs) use to drain I think but it would be hard for water to get out that way because the fills are to small to lose that much water . I thought it may be a leak around the top deck but can't find one.

I would say here 6 pound smallies are normal big fish on lake Erie MY pb is 6-3 with problably 100 or more in that same class 6-0 6-1. As the year classes move up so do the weights. I would think I will have a 7+ soon. 7s have been caught all over the lake. My pb largemouth is 5-15 but last spring on one day I caught 3 largemouth that were approaching 7 have pics on my old phone that I keep to someday download them to the pc. We had no scale with us that day so I cannot put an actual weight to claim on them. 5 pounders aren't so bad!! Randy Van Dam holds the ohio smallie record at 9-5 caught in the western basin!

Help me fish the rocks
I use a double palomar with braid always but I really have found little difference in real world strength with flouro or mono. One area in particular I fish has sharp sandstone rip rap and you usually have to cut about 5 feet of line off at a time. The Trilene knot is so fast for me to tie it's second nature.
