I can't find a crankbait rod - help!
I was in the same boat as yourself. I am lucky enough to have both a BPS and Cabelas within an hour of me. I traded in a Crankin Stick for the 7'MH and plan to trade back my compre 6'10 MHXF for the 6'6M crankbait model you are looking at. Check around and see if you can find a place that would ship it for free. I know *** doesn't carry that model either, but I am sure you could find one somewhere. I love the MH model so I am really looking forward to getting the M action for throwing the lighter stuff. I would take a compre over a crankin stick any day. I could really tell a difference when I switched. Good luck in finding one.

$150 for 2 setups
Remember that Floroclear is not flourocarbon line. I am no expert, but I believe it is just coated. With that said, I do use it and have had moderate success. I am only using it on one reel this year and I will stick to Yo Zuri or Trilene 100% from here on out. You got a nice selection of soft plastics that should suit you well. Sweet Beavers and Senkos alone have probably been the most productive for me. You could also add Baby Brush Hogs as well. Good luck man.

For all who crank lefty
I agree that it is hard to find anything but a 7:1 in a lefty. This is of course if you want to stick with Shimano. I thought about the Chronarch DPV, but I just don't think I could get used to a heavier reel after using a 51Mg and sol for awhile. It looks like you would have to go with the CC unless Shimano decides to come out with a Chronarch D5 or Curado E5. I decided that I didn't want to spend the money for a CC and couldn't wait for Shimano so I went with a Revo S. I will probably have to crank slowly, but I think it will do for $75. And, I can always use it on a frog rod once I have the $ or if Shimano comes out with a low gear lefty. Right now I have to give the nod to Daiwa for giving us lefties the most options.

dobyns, powell, or kistler?
Brokeju is full of...great information. He has helped me through a similar situation looking for a crankin rod. He always had an answer to all my questions and seems like a genuine person. Keep it up, I know we all appreciate it.

For all who crank lefty
I also crank lefty. I can crank with both hands, but I feel more control with the rod in my right hand.

Question About Pflueger Trion Centrifugal Brakes
I would leave it in the off position. I agree that it would probably throw it out of balance even though you take the two adjacent ones off. I was wondering the same thing so if anyone knows for sure I would be interested to know.

Lipless crankbaits- which do you prefer?
More expensive: Yo-Zuri Cheap: Cordell Spot I have used Cordells longer and therefore have caught more fish on them, but I love the action of the Yo-Zuri. For some reason it gives me confidence when I am winging that thing around.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver
*** beaver is the exact same mold if I am not mistaken. Caught my pb on one earlier this year. I did just pick up a pack of reaction innovations though because I only needed a few and couldn't convince myself to put in a big order to Brent. Once you find a color you like, I would highly recommend a 25pk from ***.Also, keep the "pinchers" together, they seem to last longer and I haven't noticed a difference in getting bit. Try it both ways and see if it's the same for you. They are great on a shakey head!

What line to put on 7' MH baitcast rod used for all treble hook lures?
I'll be spooling 12lb CXX on a similar set up next time I go out. I would use 10lb, but I still have some 12 that needs to be used. I can also highly recommend Yo Zuri Hybrid as well. I just saw your last post and I would definately go with either of the above mentioned lines for either setup. If you are set on using flourocarbon, I would use that on your worm rod and go with a mono or hybrid line on your treble setup.

Help me>>>>> Revo STX or SX
I like the STX better. I think it was all in my head because when I first got an SX I had a heck of a time with that thing. I do agree that there really isn't much difference and that you are probably better off saving the money and spending it elsewhere. I've since gotten rid of both of them, but I just picked up an S the other day. I can't give you a comparison yet because it isn't even spooled and won't see water for about 2 more weeks anyways. I think you'll be fine with the SX.

Advice needed for all around treble rod
I would agree with everyone on getting a 6'6 rod for these applications. I would love to get that avid, but right now I just got a Compre crankbait 6'6MMF rod. I think it will do the job for the time being and it seems to run a little stiffer for its' action anyways. After feeling the Avid at BPS through, it is a perfect rod for everything you listed.

Yo Zuri Hybrid on sale at Cabelas
Haha, I am thinking about heading to both Cabelas and BPS tomorrow. It would take about 2 hours travel time to hit them both and make it back to the city. Not sure if there is a Famous Daves by either, but I always smell the grill of some steakhouse next to BPS every time I go there. My wife asked if I wanted her to come with. I told her she could, but it would be an all day adventure. ;D We'll see come tomorrow morning. Sounds like you've got a full day too. Enjoy.

Compre MH CB rod for DD22's?
I was wondering if a 7'0 MH Compre CB rod would be able to throw DD22's and other deep divers up to 3/4oz. Thanks for the help. I will probably be returning a rod to Cabelas to replace it with a CB rod tomorrow and I am looking for something around this price range.

Chronarch D
Decided to downsize from 5 setups to 4 (for now) and have to get rid of a reel. Instead, I ended up getting rid of two reels and picked up a new Chronarch 101D. It feels like butter, but I won't get to fish it for at least two weeks as I am in the middle of finals. :'( At least I've got something to look forward too.

"Finesse" Baitcasting Set-up??
Get the 68mxf Legend Tournament Tournament from uncle leo in the classifieds. That is a pretty sick price for that rod, plus he is a first class guy as well. I am looking for a similar rod, but I have a bps gift card I need to use on it otherwise I would take it from him.

Rod Upgrade: Compre vs Premier
I would like to look at the mojo, but I am in need of a medium action rod for throwing light cranks. I am leaning compre or crucial ($95 used). I can't afford the avid right now because I plan to buy the 68mxf rod for soft plastics as well.
