  1. Matt- I love how you talk like a 8-9 lb LMB is not a trophy bass. DANG YOU AND YOUR BIG BASS WATERS
  2. So my Bps extreme rod broke the other day. I need to buy a replacement. My other rod is a Powell max and i am planning on buying a high end rod. The three I'm thinking of now are 1. G loomis MBR IMX 2. St. Croix Legend Tournament 3. Dobyns Champion series If anyone has any other suggestions or experience with any of these or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. My BPS extreme just broke in a cast at the same spot. second extreme rod in a year i have had break. Bps exchanged my rod but i will not be buying anymore bps rods.
  4. The fish im trying to catch are roughly 18-25 ft deep. They have moved out of the shallows where i was catching them good. The lake i fish at is a resovoir that gets about 60ft at some parts and ten feet from shore it can be 15 feet deep. I have mainly been fishing around the standing timber and some points. When i was just cruising along i noticed on my depthfinder some kind of ledge or structure on the bottom not to sure what it was but there was definately lots of fish around it. Do you fish a jig the same deep as shallow and is it better to drag or hop a jig.
  5. I do have depth finder. I need to learn more how to read it and understand the different colors it shows of the bottom. I am also going to buy some marker buoys since i think that will help me. Ive done some carolina rigging and jigging and some deep cranking but just no takers. Also my anchor rope on my jon boat is only about ten feet should i buy a longer rope so i can drop anchor?
  6. I just got a boat last year so i have not done a lot of deep water fishing. I know some basics but just cant catch the fish. I went out yesterday and found a couple drop offs that were holding fish. I fished them pretty thoroughly with a jig and carolina rig but no takers. If anyone has any pointers on catching fish in deep water, it would be much appreciated.
  7. Congrats, Nice Bass and a Helluva Set up

  11. Nice boat man!!! That thang is sweet
  12. They are a decent rod for the money. But if you spend another $40 you can get a much much better rod.
  13. Is there such a thing? Is it custom?
  14. If your willing to pay the extra for the LT. Yes it is definately worth the extra money.
  15. That's the way to start the year. What a Nice Fish
  16. An ipod i would say no, but a radio that isn't real loud definetly yes....With out the headphones on you can still hear around you so you are still aware if a fish jumps. Music makes everything better and fishing is no different.
  17. I got absolutely nothing on sale instead i walked out spending $300 on the Hummingbird Fishing buddy the 140 model(the color) portable depth finder for my jon boat. And some Spiderwire Ultracast 100% floro. Then i had to get out ASAP, didnt even look at anything else
  18. Gamma 4/0 or 5/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks. I just picked up some of the skip gap hooks as Ive heard good things about them
  19. I dont think IKE is the type that would support a bait if he didnt believe in it.... Im sure it catches fish but does the laser have anything to do with catching these fish or is it just the wobble of the crank? Thats the real question.. P.S. Bassnajr LOVE the new aviator and quote hahaha Great show
  20. I cast with my right and reel with my right.....I also switch all my spinning reels to right hand retrieve its just whats comfortable to me....i am right handed
  21. Look into Spiderwire 100% it is the easiest managable floro ive used yet. I prefer it over trilene 100%
  22. Spiderwire 100% is the best ive used yet. Its well worth the 20 bucks imo
  23. definitely the beginning of the year and then as least as possible
  24. Dont ask just buy....you shouldnt of posted that what if they read it and change the price lol
  25. 25 lb mono is not thin at all. If you want 25 lb i suggest going braid or floro they are much smaller diameters for LB test
