  3. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!! Another N.E.F.'er (Dave L)gets a state pin! I'm so friggin jealous :-[ ;D Here's the story: Sorry for the wait, long night of driving around unfamiliar territory to certify it, return and release it, and then a long drive home. Fish crushed a 9 inch dark trout slammer about 5:30 pm. Weird fight, I was in deeper water throwing shallower. Fish hit and came right toward me, it was hard to know where the fish was for awhile, no real fight til it was right at the boat. It hooked itself well, so it held up. Here are a pic.
  4. Hunting for hawgs w/the SB's today. Hoping to have some decent pic's and or video to post up later. Ooooh boy, it's a balmy feel like temp of 25*, better break out the shorts and sun screene for this tip ;D
  5. Good point! The smaller ponds also translate to less water that needs to be covered
  6. One from Cooks in the fridged March weather of 2007,just after ice out. I usually throw A black jig w/an ultra blue zoom junk. There used to be Tiger Musky in there as well, not to sure anymore, so watch out, those Musky just love to swim around and show off their new $30 swimbait lip rings. ;D Hooked into one about 8 lbs on a Zarra Spook gonig back a decade or so. Got him to the side of the boat, he jumps, lands in the boat on the bench seat, spook falls out, he flips once and over the other side into the depths he went, this all lasted about 5 seconds :'( ;D Used to love cooks years ago,but then the fuzz made all of Tin's friends leave and it wasn't quite as exciting anymore ;D
  7. Here's a pic of Cooks at it finest ;D
  8. Didn't notice a date posted anywhere or length of time you'll be staying? May I suggest; some coffee, wipe the sleepers from your eyes and then repost? ;D
  9. I somtetimes fish large ponds over 600 acres w/my 12' jon & trolling motor. But I know how long the battery will last, as well as making sure to have back up paddles and all the needed safety equiptment just in case. If I have any doubts that the battery is getting weak or old ( more then one seasons use) I always bring a back up battery. Wind and weather play more of a role for me then the size of the body of water. Safety first
  10. Hey guys, I was just reminded that a few years back I tried the 160 soft version of this bait because I to thought the action was outstanding! Yet, I never had anything commit and the nose would tear up rather quickly! You may want to think twice about this lure. Though, the action is extremely appealing to us, that doesn't mean the fish will feel the same way! If you do dicide to get one and start catching hawgs, let us know!
  11. Javillon hard bait: Must get one of these!
  12. Sorry, A.D.D. kicking in. If you 'd stop selling them,I'd be able to stop the illegal experimental drugs. In all seriouness, ^ this could be missconstrued and probably not to smart
  13. ABSOLUTELY NOT! My biggest LM, 7+(My avatar) came out of water less then 200 acres, and biggest Smallie, 5+ out of less then 400 acres
  14. I'm confuuuuused? You muxt be talking about Johnson's. If your refering to Watchaug,You must be pulling my leg either that or your sicker then you thought That's where my 5.3 and 4.11 came from

  17. How was work? That ain't right........., you know I'm done by 10:30..... :-[ :'( Sorry Russ, couldn't resist. We were on the water by 8AM and he invited ......well, I invited myself on his boat lat night. In all sincerity, I wil try my best to be more sensitive to your feelings :-* and or work shcedule ;D Besides, I do fish until the ramps freeze, so there's plenty of time
  18. Copied from N.E.F I met up with Bassectomy this morning at one of my favorite slammer ponds. We both decided the conditions were right for swimbaits. I opted for my usual 7"dark trout, and he wanted to give a new shell cracker that he just picked up a shot. It did not take long, just 15 minutes in, and we both had a fish landed. First pic is his first shell cracker fish. After catching a few more between the 2 of us. I made a comment, that one of us was going to get 1 over 5 today. Not 3 casts later, Im on. The fish hit about 15-20 feet from the boat after just barely cranking the slammer down. Second pic is that fish. Nothing like calling shots in 48 degree water. Had a great time with Paul today, and we will be doing iit again soon. The one on the right was my first Shell Cracker fish, though it looks rediculous next to Carls hawg ;D Russ, you gotta check out the Shell Cracker...I'm now a Shell Cracker fruitloop! 5lbs even
  19. I don't care about the secret. I haven't been fishing w/him in a month due to his sheath issue, and his replies are the next best thing to having him in the boat and "accidently" almost knock me over board :
  20. WTH Russ??????, deleting Tin's reply will haunt me for weeks to come! :-/
