  11. Man, this is worse then waiting for Chistmas as a child! :-/ Can't wait!!!!!! I'd be willing to trade my left leg for one of these,at least I'd still be able to fish it! This may just be the perfect swimbait for us New Englanders! I know that one of my rods will always have one tied on
  12. I'm looking to try something different/new, soft plastic jig trailer that gives off a good THUMP! Currently use Zoom fat alberts twin tail, but when I'm looking for more vibration, the Paca Craw or Paca Chunk. Anyone know of a decent trailer that flaps and vibrates on descent, possibly a good hand pour? I have also tried the Rage Chunks as well, but as I stated I'm looking for something new or at least one I've never tried. Thanks in advance for your input!
  13. I would havs gone in after it,sufferd from Hypothermia, rushed to the ER, only to find out later that the line floats :-/ ;D
  14. Written by Tanner, the organizer and copied to post up here. Had our tourney at Santuit today. Tourney started at 7:30. I was late to a tourney I was running because my partner said "We fish Santuit all the time, why would you print out directions?". I suck w/ directions and apparently so does he. Anyway I got there at 7:20 for a launch of 7:30. I let everyone launch at 7:30 and we got out about 10 minutes later. The water was 52 and it was pretty calm in the morning. Within the first 5 minutes my partner got a 2 pounder in open water on a black and red jig/chigger chunk trailer. He was fishing open water and I was bangin the shoreline. About 2 minutes later I hit our 2nd which was another around 2 lbs, probably a little less. It came on a black and blue jig w/ a chigger. The rest of the day pretty much kept that pace except I stuck w/ a chatterbait most of the day because they were all over it. He stuck w/ the jig most of the day. There was a TON of fish in open water and we caught a lot of fish, probably 15 each. But they were literally just all the same size. Carl (RIBASSPREDATOR) seemed to work the shoreline all day and ended up w/ more size. He was skipping the jig further back under trees than I could imagine so I think it helped him get to some fish buried in the cover. The bigger fish were hugging tight to the bottom and my partner started getting better results working his jig slower and shaking it more. He figured it out a little too late. We just couldn't seem to get the big bite. It got real windy later in the day but Santuit is pretty protected so it wasn't too bad. Paul (Bassectomy) also said he lost a 5-6lber on the Hudd' in open water. All in all it was a very close Tourney and not at all a bad day for November 16th! Thanks to everyone that braved the weather and fished hard, and to you wimps that backed out/didn't show...WEAK! Here's the official results: 1st Place--- Dave Henderson & Brian--- 11.40lbs 2nd Place--Carl (RIBASSPREDATOR) and Paul (Bassectomy)--- 11.15lbs. 3rd Place-- Billy (Jigga318)--- 10.85lbs. 4th Place-- Me and Keith (Bassbrawler)---10.00lbs. 5th Place--Dave (Drose) & Jeff--- 9.50lbs. "LUNKER": 1st-- Paul (Bassectomy)--- 3.50lbs. *All weights are after I subtracted .9lbs for the bag. Congratulations to Dave and Brian on their first win---fishing their 3rd tournament ever and Santuit for the first time. Well deserved! Good job to Carl and Paul for 2nd place and Lunker! The slammer pulls out ANOTHER "Lunker"! It was good to meet you guys and Jigga too---impressive for a solo effort!!! Nice work to everyone else for keeping it so close and fishing hard! Also, Thanx to Carl/Paul and Jigga for being good sports and abiding by the rules...it was painful to watch you guys have to putt w/ 150hp engines though! Looks like it didn't hurt you guys too much. We'd love to have you guys at some more events next year! Here's a pic of Carl and Paul's bag and my lazy partner and his boat (Jeff and DRose in background): Bassectomy: Anyway, congrats to the winners and also to Jigga, for being the only person fishing this alone and almost knocking out of second. Again with my fist fish of the day coming on the Slammer, 20 yards from the ramp. Changed over to the 6" hudd after awhile looking for the big one in deeper water, while Carl pounded the shoreline. The fish I lost was easily in the 4-5lb range and knew not having a treble hooked on the belly would come back to haunt me. Luckly, my first and only Slammer fish of the day, just made lunker Got a few more fish rotating between the Hudd bug up tight, and the spinner bait offshore. I think Carl must have caught 20 or so fish, but I'll let him tell ya how he pulled one out his shorts w/only 13 minutes to go. Thanks for having me aboard Carl, it would have been an interesting day to say the least, having to fish out my jon. RIBASPREDITOR: Tanner, thanks for the invite. Had a good time out there today. Bassectomy is now the 4th cast curse, everytime we fish together lately, he gets his slammer crushed on the 4th cast, and thats it for his slammer. Fortunately the 4th cast today gave us our lunker Santuit was a culling nightmare for sure today. Between the 2 of us, we probably caught about 30 or so. Having 1 good one in the well, and 4 clones, I stuck with the jig even after the wind kicked up to about 25-30. With minutes to go, I returned to a spot where I missed a decent fish earlier in the day, Pitched into the exact hole, and BANG fish on. Culled 1 out, and that fish crawled us into second place. The strange thing about this fish was 1 of his fins looked like a threadfin. Look at the pic Tanner took, you can see it in that pic Very odd. Congrats to the winners, and very good effort Jigga. Paul, as usual you were great company, lots of laughs today. Check out Carl's Bass on the left, specifically the Dorsal fin :-? I've never seen something like this. It had a comb over ;D
  15. No leader! Even fished a few extremely clear ponds w/it and still produced. No longer believe in the "LINE SHY" fish theroy
  16. Ya did?????? Oooooh, I thought you were saying you were amazing! Think about how great it would have been for that Wordens T winching them out of the reeds and such. We're on for Worden's next year buddy! Besides, I miss RP:'( ;D
  17. 365 Baby!!!!!!! Well, take out Janruary through February, so 303 Baby! ;D Finesse rig stays mono In all seriousness, I'm going to give it a try on all my casting rods for the remainder of this season as well as a full season next year. I can feel a misquito land on the braid w/the Cumura's Not to mention a DIRECT hook-set , and into the boat w/o the stretch of mono. I am aware that rocks can a hazard, but what I've seen I like so far and we'll just have to see. I haven't had any backlashes and very little over run as well. Though, I've almost thrown the whole rig(rod & reel) over board, when I've gone to cast and the braid was wrapped around the tip ;D
  18. Ya did?????? Oooooh, I thought you were saying you were amazing! : ;D I really need to remember to put these in the "My T or Outing thread"!
  19. Tried to get Carl off the couch to hit Norton res. for the 1st time alll year. Yet he had some lame exuse, something about having to pick the lint from his honey's toes : Anyway, I put in around 9AM and fished until about 4ish. Water temp was 49* on arrival, but jumped to 51* with in a few hours. The bait fish where breaking water everywhere. Water level was exteremely low and over run w/weeds Never seen it this bad! 6th cast I hook up w/a 3+ on the Rat, so I decided it was going to be a day of topwater. Started throwing the Zullu ontop of the thick stuff and lost a full pack in less then 30 minutes to pickerel. Went back to switching between the Rat and Slammer in somewhat open water.. Spent half the time cleaning the weeds off. After another rat fish around 2lbs, I stuck w/the rat for the rest of the day. All fish where caught in 4 to 5 feet of H2o that had thick patches of weeds in close proximity. Total for the day was 5 Pickerel,4 of which now have bling in the lip and 8 LM. Biggest fish pushing 5, 2 around 4lbs and the rest in the 2-3lb range. Had a great time and certainly can't complain about a decent top water bite in the 2nd week of November. Gotta love the braid! I just switched from mono to braid and man what a diference! I'm sure I would have lost a few of these in the thick stuff if it weren't for the braid! Thanks a bunch Carl. I am now a braidamaniac! Gotta get the digi fixed but here's a few w/the cell phone.
  20. Beautiful photo's, nice work!
  21. Paul G. Arrighie 46. Live in Pawtucket. Fish freshwater only, for LM and SM with SM being my passion. Though, Pike fishing has peaked my interest this year. 12' Jon w/55lb thrust trolling motor. Throw everything from finesse to Swimbaits. Love to fish Tourney's, well most of the time. But enjoy outings w/friends and newbies even better. My ussual outing will run at least 8-10 hours, or until the batteries die. My season ends when the ramps freeze up. If I have an open seat anyone is welcome aboard. WoW, I finally beat Tin @ something
  22. Please, I could do much better than Paul. : Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch! No more thong fishing for you! >
  23. As Leathal stated, the bites will be on the low side this time of year. I would recommend fishing the warmest, most stable water temps you can find. You might circle the whole lake and get one or two if your lucky this time of year, but it will ussualy be a decent fish. But what the heck do I know?
  24. You can't catch fish sittin on your couch
