  1. Here you go....... This is the NetBait Baby Paca Craw. This also works w/tubes and the yum Craws but the Paca has out produced both. Like I said in another post, I'm sure someone else has come up w/this long before me but, I discovered it playing in the kiddy pool over the last 3 weeks. Don't laugh to hard ;D
  2. YARD SALE MOVED once again due to rain. Will be held on 7-12-08 8 AM to 2PM .
  3. Awesome fish and pic's! Congrats!!!!!! Is that the new 6 inch Hudd?
  4. 24.11lbs for all of them OOOOOOOOOOPs seriously didn't realize the game was over >
  5. What a great fishery! Though I would have argued that point at 11:30 AM yesturday. Had never been there before and all intentions of prefishing it but, never had the chance. The ramp area is something else nothing like having to walk a half a mile to park and local traffic sceaming by in between the convoy of trailers.T was from 7 to 2pm, water temp in the 74 to 77 range and wind started at 5mph moving up to 12 mph or so. Anyway, I struggled most of the day landing 3 pickerel over 4+ and another 3 around 2lbs,I AM THE PICKEREL KING! Having to retie 5 out of the 7 Pickerel wasn't a great way to start. On some advice I started out in the first big cove on the right (I think it's a boat club) trying to find all the grass coontail and weedlines I was told about. Found only one stretch of coontail about 30 yards long, all dying or dead. After 3 hours thouroughly covering that area I moved across the lake and found a weed line in 8' of water which produced 2 keepers around 1.5 11:30 I decided gas up and explore. Bearse cove is where I ended up and glad I did! After doing a quick buzz around inside scoping out potential area's to start I chose the entry channel into the cove. Skipped under a overhang BLAAAAAM, pig in the well. it's now 12:30pm and have around 8lbs on 3 fish. Feeling the time slipping away, I started power and sight fishing in the shallows. Saw two LM in th 3+ range cruising up tight in a tiny very shallow cove and pitched 8' past them, swoooooooooosh gone spooked them both and thought to myself, IDIOT! I head in the same direction they were swimming and skipped up tight actually hitting the land and dragged it into the water, dead sticked it for 8 seconds wham 3+ second cast 10 seconds of the same technique blam another 3+ felling like I pro and knew what I was doing I moved to another small shallow cove and repeated the same ended up culling 3 times with 30 minutes to go. 1:45pm I was exhausted and decided to call it a day just happy with the way I finished not really knowing were it lead. My morning bite as of the last three T's has been horrible yet, this year has taught me to never give up and have been catchin-um in the last 2 hours of the T's. Last year I would have been flustered and trailered up second guessing myself all the way home. I finished in 2nd w/15.3 and lunker @ 5.07.My buddy Don (ANOTHER FRIGGIN SENKO SLINGER) :lol won it w/17.27. He jumped from 11th to 3rd place now with 32.87lb and within striking distance of me in 1st w/36.40 after 3 T's. All my fish were caught on the new craw setup and the only thing I've been using and it seems to be paying off. Congrats to Don on the win and I can't wait to get back here! Here's are the current standings and yesturdays results. For some reason or another I can't get the standings to stay in single file. They're aligned before I post. Sorry! 8. Hit Whitehall this afternoon from 12:30 to 4:30 for a quick 4 hour challenge. Winds were about 5mph and water temp at 74*. Haven't fished it since September of last year. Went right back to the 100' stretch of shoreline I fished back then, pitching in brush and laydowns. First 2 hours had 6 keepers in the well biggest going 2.6. Came around a point and found myself over a submerged tree. I back out quietly and flipped to it, what I thought to be a good 4+ comes out of no where....tail goes up and nose went down ...... take it for pete's sake! Jiggle-jiggle,come on take it!!!!!!! I swim it slowly off the bottom and she charges for it I get her to follow but now she's a foot from the boat Then Ziggy desides he wants to eat her and dunks his head in mouth wide open Not a happy boy at this point and she's gone with the wind. I regroup after a five minute blackout, back off and continued to fish down the shoreline for about 15 minutes more. I go back and work the area for another 15, NOTHING! 50 feet away I see another submurged tree and figure.....aaah why the heck not. "SHOOT, I'm snagged" and only 30 minutes left before the end. All of the sudden my pole bends whaaaaaaaaahoooooooooooooo play it out get her off the sticks and net her. 6+ !!! What a way to end the T. Best five went 12+ and the challeger ended w/three keepers. All my fsh were caught on a black blue net bait baby paca craw w/foam stuffed in the head(floats standing upright in defensive posture) 14# Sufix Seige Camo, a tungsten 3/16 bullet wait pegged 1/2 inch above and a 1/0 Gammy worm hook.
  9. Let's see if I can lightin things up a bit. Tips for Mass ? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Stay the heck out of P-TOWN :-*
  10. Smokers litter???? That's an aweful genderized statement! I smoke and I put them where they belong,in the tray! if I throw any line I cut after changing baits or checking the knot is that littering? Line left out??? Incosiderate lazy and a danger to wildlife!!!!!! if I throw what is left of a Senko or plastic worm overboard, is that littering? Same response as above!!!! if I lose a crankbait in the grass, rocks, trees or bushes is that littering? If you can't retrieve it after trying your best,NO! But not even attempting to try to retreive it, MOST DEFINATELY YES it's littering! if I throw the rest of my sandwhich in the water, is that littering? Curtain foods IMO are a different story. Bread and meat would be eaten. Even in a T if I see litter of any kind floating or lures brush that is retreivable I stop fishing and scoop it with the net or break off the branch! As I stated previously, anyother way is inconsiderate and lazy! I just started taking pic's of the boat and or person littering and send it into the state and Fish & wildlife! My way of saying wake up and be aware of your negligant actions and the affects it will have on the environment! >
  11. Anyone aware of opens this Sunday in the RI/MA area? Thanks in advance
  12. Hey Sam, very well explained! I appreiate your sincerity. Click's???? What clicks???? ;D I agree 100% yet,I will never be a click guy as you define it. I'm all about sharing the fun and watching the smile on someones face as they land a chunk, fishing with me or against. ,It's just a feeling that words can't describe! I don't know, maybe it brings me back to when I landed my first slob? My philosophy on sharing is not shinned upon by most. However, I do choose who I share it with very carefully i.e. someone with morals and values. Hmmmmmmmmm, does that make me a click guy? :-?Naaaah! Anyway, the clicks and rule breaking thing is a given, you know that going in. We are all competitors at heart or we wouldn't be fishing for $$$$ or bragging rights. Putting that many ego's in one room sparks will occasionally fly. All this is acceptable yet littering is intolerable and misinformation on important political issues was the deal breaker ! The scary thing is out the three replies recieved none mentioned a darn thing about the intentional littering?
  13. Why don't you sit down with the club leadership and voice your concerns before you fly off the handle and make a rash decision that may or maynot be unwarrented? Get all of the info and then make your decision. Fly off the handle???????? Not even an option my southern friend. I'm gone as we speak, this was just the straw that broke the camels back. When the vice pres is flicking his butts in the water all day and who knows what else in waters that we are suposed to be protecting for future generations, fishing 40 acre ponds w/no gas motors and 20 boats some at 30 G's that produce trout not bass and then this final straw I'm all set! Thanks for your input though
  14. I need some feed back from other club members. I'm feeling a bit TICKED OFF! and kept in the dark. My club is in Rhode Island and they have known about the new RI reg's (for quite some time now) trying to be passed that would mandate Tourny hours between 8PM and 12 noon the next day as well as mandating that all organized fishing events must submit all registrants info 72 hours prior to the event. We just had an open and only had 5 inline registrations and everyone else paid at the ramp. How would a club possibly get those participants info to DEM? We (club members) were never informed yet they have known the whole time. They, thanks to someother clubs posting on the internet will only now be addressing it the night before the meeting and deadline for letters of opposition??? :-/ I joined a club so I could be kept abreast of the politcal aspects that I would otherwise not know about. I am about 90% ready to drop out of this club feeling betrayed.
  15. ?????????? Sorry Mike, I don't even recall it. After snapping two rods and the crap w/my club not much room left for anything else upstairs ;D I'd love to fish Stafford I'l see if I can postpone my trip to Wequaqet until next weekend.
  16. Thanks John, singles or team?
  17. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  18. Looking for opens in the RI and Ma area. You help is greatly appreciated
  19. Coventry bass has a T there : next Saturday and they all have large gas motors. I put a 25hp in about 5 years ago. Trolling motor only. Always a good idea to check w/DEM though it can't hurt.
  20. ? is this for RI trout waters only or all waters in RI? Thanks !
  21. "HOLY CARP"!!!!!!!! I will pass this on to my club as well as two others I know of. I don't understand ONLY IN RI >
  22. Hey guys my A.D.D must be kicking in I didn't see much of a change from previous rules and regs? RI trout waters have always been off limits? Is it the change in dates that's the issue? Thanks, Your concerend A.D.D dyslexic fisherman
  23. Heck of a sister fish Sounds like a great trip. I missed out on Maine this spring > It'll have to wait until fall. I fit right in w/the loons
  24. This is a presention every jig fisherman should master so you can skip the jig (even though you are on a casting set-up) up underneith docks and brush. Not only are you getting the bait to fish who never see many baits, but the skipping on the top of the water is a presentation that grabs there attention. Also the bait skipping across the water gets rid of that big splash that may spook fish. It is also better than flipping or pitching over brush or laydowns because if you do hook the fish you have the fighting advantage over the fish. You don't have to get the fish over the cover. Colonel Braddock knows of what he speaks! I am still in awe from a few days back on how effortless he made it seem to skip it 30 feet away into a 1x1 pocket surrounded by brush. I now have no option but to pick out backlashes and hang in trees until I perfect this technique. Absolutely amazing!
  25. I know exactly where your coming from! I posted a similar thread a while back. I had been fishing from the back of the boat with to of my oldest freinds for years and hated it. One whom always set the boat up for himself with total disregard for myself having an opportunity to cast to any type of structure. Many times just casting over his head or shoulders, he got the message and we no longer fish together ;)This is just him thinking of just him, in the zone or not it's a very selfish act! Frend #2 We just fished with two completely different ideals and beliefs. Being I was the co-angler and it was his boat it was up to me to modify my technique and be happy he took me along. Yet becuase of the two opposite beliefs in (I like the wind he hides from it) we no loger fish T's together and remain good friends. Now when it's my boat I purposely point out structure to the co-angler. In front of the boat or not, with intent I set the boat up so that they have a greater chance to cast to an area that I could have but left it for them. If I have confidence in the co-anglers ability we are then casting front to back and back to front over and under one another all day long......"I'm going over you.......going under...Hey could you lower your rod and line? I want to cast to the lay down back there". When I know the co-angler is spot on with his ability and out shine myself and see an area I know is a dificult one to get to,I would rather set the boat up for him to make quieter more subtle presentation rather then have myself do a cannon ball and spook every fish with in 50 yards. ;D Not everyone can fish comfortably together, when you finally do find someone that is a match,KISS HIS BUTT,SHINE HIS SHOES AND BRING ALONG HIS FAVORITE SNACK!" JK about kissing his butt.......when this does happen you'll know it and fishing just became everything you thought it could be!
