  1. Deka from Wally World are good.
  2. Get a T-Reins retractor and a Fish Grip. Clip the fish, toss it over board, get yourself ready for the pic. I use a RAM X-Grip to hold my phone for selfies.
  3. You might get a little more free spool time with TSI, at the bench, but on the water, the difference is going to be negligible. Either product will treat your bearings well.
  4. 60° yesterday and this morning. By tonight, back into the teens.
  5. Leashes, divisive topic. I don't use them, and recommend not using them, especially of you fish anywhere near current. It's better to lose a rod than to drown because you're tangled up in a leash cord, if you capsize. I find security in simply lashing my crate and gear down, and keep everything uncluttered. For things like a fish grip, or set of pliers, T-Reigns makes a great track mounted retractable tether that stays out of the way. I even use one to keep my catch in the water, while I prep for the grip 'n grin pic.
  6. I use SI/DI on my kayak. Works great.
  7. I've used Maxima, P-Line, Gamma, and Seaguar leader material. They're all about the same. Check the diameters. I generally stick to Seaguar because they support the site.
  8. Glenn really likes the KK rack he got. I think he picked up a couple more he liked them so much. I have one in a box.... I have that F&S one for 16 rods, and it can be a little iffy fitting bigger reels, but the rack is stable. I did not attach the wheels on mine.
  9. Bullhead from cooler water are delicious!
  10. Terrible tragedy, right after the wild fires.
  11. I use my primary spook/popper/suspending jerk/ripbait rod for sniper style spinnerbaiting. It's great for low angle, short to medium range targets that don't require a bomb cast. I use a SC AVC62MXF. Lots of fish caught on that rod with all sorts of baits.
  12. Yes with the softer baits, like the Keitech version, but not the original Zoom Super Fluke.
  13. And you're absolutely certain the URL is exactly the same? Can you post a screen shot of each? You can use https://postimages.org/ to upload and link to the images. Just use the snipping tools on your PC for the screen shot.
  14. I've merged both topics into the original topic.
  15. I'm seeing reports that his body has been recovered. So sad.
  16. Are you logged in to Yahoo! on both?
  17. He could get them to the playoffs, and then choke.
  18. I'd like to see some improvements in the strength to weight ratio. A little more wiggle room for bonehead moves with a top flight rod.
  19. Believe it or not, George isn't at home....
  20. The MLXF taper from SC is really something special. Throw delicate presentations, yet enough backbone to apply some muscle.
  21. @Darren., I think you'd like the 6'2" casting and 6'3" spinning rods from SC. They are only an inch or two shorter than the 6'6" models, measuring from the reel seat, but use the shorter rear grip from the 6' models. I have: AVC62MXF AVS63MLXF AVS63MXF
  22. The mesh is non abrasive, and the fish's natural buoyancy keeps them upright. A friend of mine has been using them for a couple years now, and his are always in top shape at weigh ins. He also subscribes Sure Life's system of livewell treatment.
  23. Grew up with a swimming pool and a cottage on the lake. Swimming has been second nature for as long as I can remember. That said, I did a cold water immersion training demonstration for a kayak class, and I simply could not tread 45° water for more than a few minutes. I've performed a cold water rescue in real life, and my fishing buddy said the same. He was wearing a PFD, and I believe things would have gone south much quicker if not.
  24. Good to see I'm not the only one. I'm really the only person I fish with that does it.
