  1. You can't assume they stick to the right generation.
  2. I am adopted as well.
  3. Year classes are not generations. I don't think many bass live for 36 years either. See what T9 wrote for the rest. BTW, did everyone know that the "F" in "F1" stands for filial? In other words, sons or daughters.
  4. Happened to me, too. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dropshot-bedding-bass.html
  5. What I mean is, crime is the same. Risk is the same. We also didn't have all these law enforcement agencies monitoring the technology you mentioned. The nature and the paradigm changes, but the criminals are always there. They adapt, too. As does LE. What I find funny is that in every instance a criminal is caught, there's one or a few things they did wrong to get caught. I think to myself, well if they were smart... Oh wait, if they were smart, they wouldn't be committing crime.
  6. I can't think of any positive benefit from polishing the gears. I can think of many things that could go wrong here, though.
  7. Wait? Set the hook when you think you feel a fish. Waiting just gives them time to reject the bait.
  8. You have to use differential calculus, though.
  9. Then I would say, it's worth nothing. For that $$$, it should work as stated.
  10. 12# drag is low? That's more than enough for just about any bass application.
  11. I have shoulder and elbow issues. Do a search for the two-handed cast thread. Lots of good tips in there. Just a few years ago, 8 oz. was considered light.
  12. The system on my Assassin is mag always, and the centrifugal at the start, slowly tapering as the spool slows down. I don't really use the mags at all on it, the cents are plenty.
  13. Not always. Every company's systems are somewhat unique. Some less sophisticated magnetic braking systems are on through out the cast.
  14. Doesn't matter to me, so long as they actually work.
  15. Depends on the IPT. I've never felt that 32" was not enough.
  16. It's all over their FB page. Tons of complaints about where to get it, shipping costs, etc.
  17. I've never had a company email me for a returned reel. I use tracking info on the package, and call them directly to confirm arrival, and expected return shipping date.
  18. I wouldn't look at wind speed so much as visually determine whether you can handle driving a boat in those conditions. Shallow lakes rile up much faster than deep ones, and Big O is a shallow one.
  19. The ladies prefer squid and crawfish. Original will grow hair on your palms, and cures athlete's foot.
  20. Any low pro baitcaster will have enough drag for bass fishing. Even the lowest rated drags are over 8#. That's enough to snap most MH rods on a dead lift.
  21. Depends on the boat.
  22. I use 12# CXX, OG 7.1:1 Zillion , and a LTB 7' mh/f rod for that.
  23. Doesn't matter, they all work.
  24. That's half of what you'd pay for a serious kayak. Short of looking at used, you won't do much better. Some good boats out on the used market are Rides, Prowler Big Game, Lure, Commander, and Native. All standable, and even used, are a better boat.
  25. No one here can help you, or answer your questions about a reel sent in for service. When I drop my car off for repairs, I call that repair shop to find out about it, not a car enthusiast forum. Here's the number: 877-577-0600
