  1. I have sponsors...I don't cram it down everyone's throat. In fact, I don't even have a YouTube channel! Also, buy and AT Paddle!
  2. Would you look at that!
  3. Over there on the right, http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/ Mike is a friend of mine, and a site sponsor. I do my own work, but would trust him to take care of my stuff if I didn't.
  4. Never used used one. They didn't impress me in my hand.
  5. It's way more powerful than you think.
  6. Once I visually witness a bass violently take my jig on the drop, and noticed only a tiny bit of movement in my line, and no sensation of a bite, did this point get driven home. I did catch the fish...barely.
  7. I don't think you'll like that H/F Mojo for big divers. The only thing close that I've used in the Saint Croix line up is the Legend Tournament Deep Cranker 7-11. SC's power ratings run a bit heavier than stated.
  8. I imagine that depends on each sponsors' individual agreement with MLF.
  9. It should be balanced. Not all aero force is applied to the front. There's quite a bit on the back too. Easy to spot - check your mirrors, if it's moving, tie it down. Shouldn't be tight either. Taught is a better description.
  10. I'd scoot that forward a foot or two, and use bow and stern straps attached to the tow/pull out loops that should be under each bumper. That's a lot of leverage on a small tie down footprint. It may stress the hull.
  11. Yep, especially important when using braid. Braid transmits even less information on a semi slack line than mono, copoly, or fluoro. Tip watchers will be oblivious to bites that a line watcher will pick up on.
  12. If the fish is intended for release, then it's just an opportunity to educate.
  13. For DEEP cranking, I like a long rod, MH power, and moderate taper for making bomb casts, and keeping all of the rod loaded while fighting a hooked fish. Fats rods are what a minority prefer, but I like a slower blank. I use a Pinnacle DH5 7-11 cranking rod for this. A 5:1 reel and 12# fluoro round out the combo.
  14. I liked it when they were all "spec" boats, but I guess that might get expensive for the series boat sponsor.
  15. I'm not talking about where you keep your prisoners stored, I mean fishing crates.
  16. Let's get a thread going showing off our crates. I'll get one of mine up soon.
  17. I thought Ciscoe were related as well?
  18. It certainly turns on above 50°, but certainly isn't a deal breaker. Here's one of the better fish from a banner day at the Take A Soldier Fishing on Oneida lake, a few years ago. Water temps were in the mid 40s. Camera crew actually got the whole thing on film Pretty cool. Anyway, we threw rattle traps, hair jigs, and senkos that day.
  19. I generally use any MH jig rod I have handy in the 7-7.5' range, and spooled with 12-15# CXX. I don't really over think it.
  20. Maybe he needs it more than you think. Who knows. What did you expect? You can't police the thing. People are shady when left to their own devices.
  21. I'd start with what I wanted to throw today, if I was going out soon. It's that simple. Let your needs dictate what you buy. Don't just grab whatever shiny, new doodad because the salesperson (or us :P) told you to get it.
  22. This is HUGE. Elbow issues with take you off the water, and the rod out of your hand. Also, I use a high stroke, with quiet catch and release. (see what I did there :P)
  23. The picture you put up shows it perfectly.
