  1. 8lb. Mono equivalent diameter. 20lb. breaking strength.
  2. Ok, all but two inlines don't work in cover. When someone says inline spinnerbait generically, they aren't referring to something special, they mean Vibrax, Mepps, etc. Curious, do you use them, and if you do, when do you choose a Snagless Sally or the Terminator over a typical R bend spinnerbait?
  3. A $1000 brings a new level to the "is it worth it game" of high end gear discussions, that's for sure. Only a few will ever have to toil over the decision of whether to buy it. If someone does, I expect a full review!
  4. Uh yeah, partners need to learn this. Even if I just get the boat on the ramp, you dunk me in and park. It's a huge time saver. Thing is, I'm not into the trial by fire learning method. Pick a time you can practice when no one is around waiting to use the ramp.
  5. Feel > looks. If it all looks good, so much the better.
  6. It's doesn't turn my screws like other MB offerings. Meh.
  7. Inlines do not work in cover. Most largemouth use cover.
  8. I got a skunking our east as well. Had my early spring issue and hissy fit on the water. With that out of the way, fishing can get underway.
  9. Here's a simile. This thread is as good as dead.
  10. We landed on the moon, yet I still have to fill out forms at the DMV. Talk about a plot hole!
  11. I don't care for them at all, but I think their affect is overblown.
  12. It has nothing to do with who invented it first, it's about who holds the patent and has the legal prowess to defend it. Both require a sum of cash.
  13. Dahlberg is the man.
  14. Good mono discussion, lol: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/154890-12-big-game-for-t-rigs/page-3#entry1745854

  16. So strip a few feet off, and retie. There's no reason to replace the whole spool.
  17. No, but we also didn't have to change our line out twice a month after it was invented. I recall getting new XT/XL on my reels every spring. And only in spring, lol.
  18. Dropper line or tag length vs. leader length... Always a misunderstanding, lol. I was just guilty a few days ago.
  19. I use a hook that has a gap twice the width of the plastic. That could mean #8 or 8/0, but usually something between.
  20. "Stretch" is not linear. Big Game, Tatsu, and CXX may all have equal stretch, but the way they stretch has quite a bit of influence on the preferences we develop.

I'd say it has more to do with supply and demand than the cost of oil. They may have been underpriced to begin with.
  22. Some cannot discern opinion from fact. Many opinions are developed from limited personal experience. Also, I can find all sorts of fault in "facts" simply because that fact is only a small facet of a much larger equation. But I digress, opine away!
  23. I saw some research recently that showed bass and panfish make up a statistically insignificant portion of their diet. I hate the things, and we have quite a few bajillion of them here in NY, but they aren't the scourge that they have been made out to be. Biggest issue is them pooping in everything - pretty much the same issue with another comeback bird, Canada Goose.
  24. 50° is the oft quoted temperature for prespawn activities. Water temps up here are typically 60-65 when the soawn starts.
