Ned Rig ???
I've thrown chunks of broken senkos, and caught, but to sit there and rig it up on a gopher head, never done it. There's usually other finesse baits that I use that work better for me where I fish.

What's In Your Lineup?
I use it once in while, usually Fridays when I'm feeling a little silly.

Draw Format Club Tournaments - Just Wondering
There's a little bit of everything up here. I fished a "draw team format" in a club for many years. You were in a random draw, but you fished as a team for the pot. Points were shared and accumulated for each event, and there were bonus points assigned to each angler for fish weighed in caught by that angler. There was a boater and non boater AOY crowned at the end of the season. A little complicated, but it worked. I always wanted them to go to each angler weighing in limits, combining for a individual tournament pot, and crowning AOY based on total weight, but that never happened. These days, I fish team opens.

When Do You Drop A Line?
Do you have GPS on the boat? Plug those spots you researched in before you head out, and make it a plan to head to those spots first.

Your Go To Trout Lure?
Up here, back and gold, black and yellow, black and chartreuse drives brown trout CRAZZZZY in fall. I really think they're eating all the kamikaze drone bees that were kicked out of the nest for winter.

Good job keeping politics out of this guys.

3" Swing Impacts on a drop shot rig are good.

Switching To Co Angler Combo Opinions
When I fish as a non boater, I pick from my collection for what type of fishing I think we'll be doing, based on the lake, the boater's style, and what we discussed we'd be doing.

Your Go To Trout Lure?
Lake fishing and casting? Spoon.

Giving Up On A Pond
For any shore fishing, it's best to have a bunch of spots. It's just like lake fishing in a boat - spots. One spot doesn't work out, try another.

For Fun?
I can think of only one tournament where the speed of my boat came into play as an advantage.

Unknown Brands? \\
Excalibur and Xcalibur are brands for Pradco. Some of their brands were companies way back. Think General Motors, Chevy, Saturn, Geo, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, et al, to make that comparison. I think that's your point, though. Some were separate companies, but now they're brands. It's like they are churning out Chevys, and didn't have a caddy, so they made a "Boldsmobile." Lol. At any rate both brands have good baits, though you don't need to change out the hooks on the Xcalibur.

Simple answer, no.

Most Abrasion Resistant Mono?
I'd agree, except that Siege is so much tougher, but the difference in handling and memory so minor, it doesn't count. Plus, Siege comes in orange, and that's mint.

Fattest Bass
They eat swimbaits, and they aren't even picky about which ones, lol.

When Do You Drop A Line?
Eyes on graph while I'm casting.

Most Abrasion Resistant Mono?
As far as toughest mono - Big Game is probably the toughest, but I think it's it's inherent elasticity that makes this so. The most abrasion resistant mono nylon wateva line I've used (and still do for steelhead in creeks and rivers), even in sub zero conditions is....Sufix Siege.

Most Abrasion Resistant Mono?
So Raul, is a fused micro filament line also "mono"? I mean, it's fused so it's one filament now... I'm teasing, I gave up trying to convert the masses, and simply assume that when someone says "mono," they mean nylon line. When someone says "copoly,' they mean a line made up of two different types of nylon, blended. "Fluoro" means fluorocarbon (monofilaent) line, braid means braid.........

There isn't anything that crosses over from the old Excalibur line to the newer Xcalibur, other than the replacement packs of rotating hooks from the old line. The hooks that come stock on the Xcalibur baits are better than the rotating ones. Xcalibur is a premium line, on par with Spro, Sebile, Lucky Craft, Koppers, and other similarly priced baits. I really like their square bill baits and lipless. Their tungsten weights are pretty good too. Before I started pouring drop shot weights, I used theirs as well.

You forget that Pradco was a site sponsor, no need for a search, lol.....I am well aware of their direction for "Xcalibur." Keep in mind any response you receive from them will contain their marketing angle. But, I will tell you that Excalibur is still being refreshed on retailers' shelves. Obviously there's a TREMENDOUS amount of new-old stock of Excalibur that remains unsold, and I doubt it is gone from Pradco's inventory as well. Excalibur was NEVER a premium brand name, even way back in the late 90s. Though they did have better colors than the other brands. AFAIK, the only carry over from EX to X are the rotating trebles, which are stock hooks opn exactly NONE of the X baits. Lures like the Spittin Image were sold under the Bomber, Heddon, and Excalibur name. Finishes and hooks were different.

There's a huge population of 5 pounders there. By mid day, we were dink dropping them, lol. They all look the same.
