  1. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
  2. Merriam did, though. That wasn't from Webster, though. This one is: 1: refinement or delicacy of workmanship, structure, or texture 2: skillful handling of a situation : adroit maneuvering Finesse <> slow.

  4. I think you might find mum's the word. They add action to an actionless bait, like a fluke. I like them in heavier weights with the medium size bill. They're especially good on suspending groups of fish.
  5. One that doesn't cause deja vu!
  6. I believe those are wnybassman's keys, lol.
  7. Finesse as a noun and a verb (not relating to bridge) Noun: intricate and refined delicacy. Verb: do (something) in a subtle and delicate manner. Speed isn't mentioned.
  8. Tapatalk is not compatible with the forums. The mobile version is fast, simple, no updates necessary. I use it around 80% of the time.

  10. Pretty much any lopro caster that takes up more than 25 IPT will be fine. Speeds 6.something to 1 is a good start.
  11. I decided I would paint all the interior of my house. I ended up gutting the front entrance hall and completely redoing the bathroom. What started as a quick $500 project has spiraled to much, much more. I do the work myself, and I must say, I've become quite the plaster man. The ceilings look great. I feel ya, Mike. I will say, all I have left is to install crown and chair-rail in the dining room, and trim and shoe in the bathroom, and I'm done.
  12. My Calcutta 200B for 1-5 oz. baits is a 6.0:1, bringing in ~27 IPT. It feels good to me, so I guess my answer is, "middle of the road."
  13. I think that as bass fishing diversified, got more exposure, there was a desire to label or brand techniques. Finesse, Power, whatever you want to call it has been around a long time. You can finesse a 1 oz. jig. You can power fish a grub. I will say this, I always think of "finesse" as describing the gear used to hook and land bass. Conversely, when I think power fishing, I think of the way you fish the bait.
  14. Here's one I caught, probably around seven or eight pounds. The video starts after about a ten minute fight. Caught on a spoon, using my MH cranking tackle for bass.
  15. I find different lubes have different effects, and it's not as straight forward as you think. The Bocas I have are in sub freezing only reels, and are dry. I've run several other brands dry, and the Bocas are the loudest. They aren't Orange Seals, though. They have steel shields. Perhaps that's the difference?
  16. What was the currency? Shiny pebbles?
  17. These are gigging frogs:
  18. Ask Snowden how TOR worked out for him, lol. Anyway, I see TOR as something completely different. I'm not so sure it's the problem, so much it's part of the solution..... Layers of encryption (the same methodology of TOR) are what banking and POS systems lack.
  19. And a 3/4 oz. bait isn't really all that monstrous. I throw that size all day long on my Avid AVC70MHM cranking stick.
