Had a great chat with Bkohlman last night. Well, mostly I rambled, but I'm glad I jumped on the bandwagon this year.

I'd be all over a nice tiller with finished floor if I were you. I miss my old Sea Nymph. Caught lots of fish in it and cost nothing to run.

If be willing to bet that the cheapest states have a single formula. NY is a boutique gas state, formulas vary by town, county, hamlet, street number, lol. Delta Sonic was $3.01 when I filled up yesterday.

I go through a ton if 12# CXX and 50# braid. For bait casting, those are my staples.

Yep, picked up a Calcutta 200b here for $150. Put Carbontex drag in it, and a CU 200e handle on it. Plenty of spool for 20# CXX.

I'd look for a used Catdiff or Calcutta. That's what I did.

Personally, all that adds weight. Not a fan of that.

I'd look for a vintage Zebco 808.

LOL, post of the week! Good choice. Even at your "friend pricing," he's about $5k over what it's worth.

What are these panfish and catfish things? Are they types of bass? I don't mix my stuff up. I have a chest pack for my stream trout fishing, and any other stuff for casting goes into a plano boxes, and I have another bag for trout. The bass bag is the biggest of the bunch, and holds 8 3700 boxes.

Personally, I'd rather this type of stuff be a niche item. The quantities that are needed for large scale retailers would surely change the way they are made, where they are made, and the quality. Mass availability means mass production. That doesn't mean they will go down in quality, and many other companies have maintained quality (Lucky Craft is the first to come to mind), but I've seen little guys' cool products get clobbered by quantity.
