  1. You can have a custom rod made with spiral wrapped micro guides for that price range.
  2. Wait for the Classic to buy. PQ for $80, with the reel trade in, $65. Also on the KVD, when Bantam1 was here, he said that KVD in no way penetrates Yozuri Hybrid. So, it is sitting of top of the line and drying, doing nothing really beneficial. I use it on my braid but, not on my Hybrid.
  3. I suggest joining New Horizon Bass Anglers. Very good group of guys that stress fun and education. There is a fishing flea market next weekend in Sterling. Check them out. http://www.nhbayouthfoundation.org/
  4. And miss beautiful Washington DC?
  5. Come to MD and fish the Potomac River for big blue cats. I can recommend a guide. A lot shorter drive than SC.
  6. You have to be careful during the Classics. BPS tends to come up with products that are not "exactly" what you think they are.
  7. Usually end end of February or beginning of March.
  8. Wait for Bass Pro Shops Spring Classic sale. PQ's go on sale for $80 on a regular basis but, especially during the Classic. The new BPS Extreme is supposed to be pretty nice as well. I have two PQ's and really like them. Find and read the 5 year challenge, you'll be sold.
  9. Add a touch of superglue. Snells work on the precept of the more the fish pulls, the tighter it gets. Braid can tend to slip, whereas mono stretches and squeezes tighter on itself.
  10. I am considering a Cardiff 100A. Does anyone have any experience with one of these reels? I currently have a couple of Bantam Citicas that have bearing for bushing replacements and I love them. It looks as though the Cardiff is a round version.
  11. I'd love to see what type of saltwater stuff you have. (and possibly don't want )
  12. I've been in the Bojangles in Brandywine MD that you visit. I am not a fan.
  13. That's Dr (dentist) Julie Ball out of VA Beach VA. She has a website...
  14. The GoDaddy.com commercial was disgusting.
  15. I get it. Pictures are a good idea.
  16. I am confused, how is having purchased any product with a credit card or at Bass Pro going to get any of his equipment back? I understand Sam's comment about homeowner's insurance but, not this comment or the other about having saved receipts for LOST equipment and maybe being able to recover something. Am I missing something?

Have always intrigued me. Has anyone ever built on a Mudhole MHX S-Glass blank? The spec says it is a FAST action. I don't think I've ever seen a fiberglass rod spec'd as fast action.
  18. Years ago, he grew his hair long and donated it.

The government needs to hire him (for no pay in lieu of prison time) like they hired that guy played by Leonardo DiCaprio, in that movie about the check fraud guy. Lance went all those years being tested and passing all tests. To my knowledge (haven't been paying complete attention) they stripped him of his Tour deFrance titles, NOT having any actual evidence against him.

I like the looks of those Danners.
  21. I believe the 3000 is the same body as the 2500 with a larger spool. I could be mistaken.
