I have them and every year I say I'm going to fish them more. I usually don't as much as I should. Always liked to pull them off the edge of matted grass and flutter down. I'll have to try to fish them more this year. (I've heard that some where before)

Searched bass fishing back in late 2004, came across the site. Joined in Jan. 2005. I too like 5bass was one of the first few hundred to join. There were a couple of guys that used to post all of the time. One I think was BigBill and one was a young kid that posted a lot. (can't remember his name) I always wonder if they are still around, at least looking and not posting.

The tidal Potomac above the 301 bridge should be OK for your reel. If in doubt, rinse it when done. I fish the Potomac from around Chicamuxen Creek to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. If you are fishing the tidal river for bass, no where that you fish for bass should concern you as far as your reel is concerned.

One of my questions while standing there was, "don't these big clips catch a lot of grass?" The answer given was "yes" but, not any more than others. I couldn't see it. They are beautiful baits. Thanks for the input.

I think it would be great to have an area almost like a product review board where anyone could gives review on their favorites and you could go to it and browse for a review on something you're interested in. Maybe even a tutorial on rod length, action, power, reel speed and their technique applications. There are may responses by mods and others about searching the site for previously covered topics, before asking the same questions again and again. As I proof read my post, I thought again about a section for a tutorial on rods and reels and their applications. I think it would be a great tool for anyone. Off to the Bass Expo in Baltimore.

There were AT LEAST 12-13 threads EACH that started basically with, "what rod/reel should I buy" or something like that. That is just since 2008 started. That topic should be in the FAQ's. Let's just have a free for all on rod and reel preferences and why. Guys can go there and do research.

REAL good reason for a temporary absence.

I thought a short time back someone changed their name and put somewhere in the ID area or avatar what they were formally known as. That would be very helpful. I was confused a few times in the last few days. I would see what I thought were duplicate posts with a different name. How about a thread getting started with nothing but name changes?
