Huh? :-? :-? :-? Ike 8-) The Zoo is slang for Crystal Beach. It is a madhouse on the weekend and you will see things you may not believe if I posted them here. Suprised you are not familiar with it. Right! I guess I was kinda brain dead for a bit there. LOL!! Ya, I've heard stories about that place. Never been there though. Ike 8-)

Bass Fishing in Brackish Water
The trout killers are pretty much flukes, just a bit bigger and a little bit differnt action plus I can't find some of the colors in flukes. I use flukes in the salt too. I think the swim senkos are heavier and a bit differnt then the red killers. I think red killers are a must, but flukes or trout killers don't make that much of a difference. Good Luck! Ike 8-)

Fishing Alone or With a Buddy
Definatley prefer somebody with me. We usually fish with different lures so that way we can find what the like. Plus I like having somebody to talk to. Me and my friend go every Monday & Tuesday, it's nice!! But if it's fishing alone or not fishing at all, FISHING wins hands down! Ike 8-)

Here's the steel leaders. We usually make our own, 'cause it's cheaper, but you can buy theese.... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0003335114976a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=steel+leaders&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=steel+leaders&noImage=0 Ike 8-)

Yep they are!! Once we hauled in a 6 foot bull shark! That is a TON of fun!!! I just took a cast net out, and caught some bait. (mullet, Croaker, piggy perch. Mullet is my favorite though.) But you can still buy just about anything you want down there from a baitshop. Cathching your own is cheaper though. For the shark, I was fishing in the surf, so I rigged up a 3 oz. spider weight (see posts below) about 3 feet up the line and then a live or cut 3-6" mullet or croaker with a 5/0 or 6/0 circle hook. For bays.....I like to free line a cut mullet with a 6/0 circle hook. Make sure you have a 2 foot leader on there for reds. And a 3+ foot steel leader on there for Sharks. For equiptment I like a big round baitcaster, and a 6'6"-7' Heavy rod. I've never tried spinning, but I think BCs work best! The line we use is either 30-50# mono, but me and my buddy are going halfway on some 50# braid. If you just want to catch some fish, and if you don't care what they are. Try rigging some live or dead shrimp on a popping cork, with a studry bass rod (20# mono or braid and a treble, circle, or EWG hook) or on the bottom (smae line/hooks, but with a weight 1/2 oz. should do it.) Hope that helped. Any questions feel free to ask! I'll glady do my best to answer any questions you have. Ike 8-)

Well, When we were down there it was windy almost everyday!! > > > I caught 4-5 undersized trout. 2 undersized reds 1 oversized red. and 2 flounder. I also caught a little shark, a Gafftop (man, I hate thoose things!!!) and had a HUGE shark just about spool me. He nailed a cut mullet on a free line with my big rig. He took off, and got about 3/4 of the line off. I slowy tighted down the drag, but couldn't stop him. I was finally starting to turn him, when he straighted my snap swivel!! So now there's a 6foot shark swimming out there some where with a 6/0 circle hook in his mouth. I'll be heading back down tomorrow in West Bay. I'll update when I get back. Pics.......... Ike 8-)

Deep pond help
Ok, I found a pond near my house. It's about 25' deep at the deepest point, maybe more. The bottom is muddy. And the pond is REALLY clear I was wondering if ya'll had any advise on how to fish it. I'm thinking.........Carolina rig and DropShot and maybe a heavy spinnerbait. Thank's! Ike 8-)

Big Baitcaster
Every once in a while when we're night fishing we'll have a mullet or soemthing on the bottom, over some shell in about 10-16 feet of water, we'll be fishing for Reds, but every once in a while we'll have a dolphin (mahi mahi) nail it and spool us. I'd like to land one eventually. We're not really fishing for them, we just hook into 'em evry once in a while. Ike 8-)

This is AWESOME!
It's definatley a good idea! And the ticket normally costs $7 I think. So all you have to buy is $28 in food and you've got your money back. That's 2 cokes, a foot long dog, Nachos, and some peanuts. I could easily drink 4-5 cokes a game and I could put down a few footlongs throw in a few waters, and some peanuts and popcorn. What me and my buddies will do is show up and see who can eat the most. Man, between 5 could rack up $300+ in food!! Thank you ASTROS!!! ;D ;D Ike 8-)

Lights, camera,action
Yep. They have them everywhere!! Some of 'em can even tell how fast you're going and how long you've been in the intersection! It's INSANE!! Just gotta watch it from now on. I'm not complaining about htem, I think they'll help with the red light runners. It's just in situations like you described when you have to decide some people may slam on their brakes and cause a wreck. Ike 8-)

Who am I talking to? (post a picture of yourself.)
Falcon.......... I finally figured out a sure fire way to get a picture uploaded. What I do is use another forums' uploading thing and then save the picture from that website (right click on the picture and click "save picture as...") Then I upload the picture that I already saved, on here. and it works fine! I think the other forums picture uploading think automaticly resizes the picture. Hey, I don't care HOW it works I just know it works!! The other forum is http://forums.mathewsinc.com/ Let me know how that works. Ike 8-)
