  1. I don't care about more fish with or without a buddy along because I am not a numbers fisherman. I caught my PB with a buddy. My next best four fish I caught alone. The presence of a buddy does not make me more productive. But I would rather enjoy the moment with a close friend.
  2. X2 Stick with proven winners and you won't get burnt.
  3. I'm not so sure that we need the coal badly as a fuel source. It is a dirty fuel period. We have enough natural gas to replace coal as a fuel source for a long, long time.
  4. For smallmouth 1: Jerkbait 2: Jerkbait Smallmouth lunker for me on Erie is 6lbs & up For largemouth 1: Soft plastic swim baits/jerk shads & flukes 2: Multiple baits. I honestly can't pick one over another. Lunker would be 7lbs & up mostly in Florida/Mexico
  5. After a tiring day, a commuter settled down in his seat and closed his eyes. As the train rolled out of the station, a woman sitting next to him pulled out her cell phone. She started talking in a loud voice: "Hi sweetheart. It's Sue. I'm on the train". "Yes, I know it's the six thirty and not the four thirty train, but I had a long meeting". "No, honey, not with that Kevin from the accounting office. It was with the boss". "No sweetheart, you're the only one in my life". "Yes, I'm sure, cross my heart!" Fifteen minutes later, she was still talking loudly. When the man sitting next to her had enough. . . he leaned over and said into her phone, "Sue, hang up that bloody phone and come back to bed." Sue doesn't use her cell phone in public any more.
  6. Yes We had four guys fishing two different areas in two boats.. The other boat called is us and said they were catching good fish in 20-25 fow just off the bottom. I decided to switch baits from a jerkbait to a floating crank bait to get deeper. My bait got down to the bottom and bounced twice & I got slammed. We were all smiles when she hit the net & came into the boat. The difference between a 7 lb smallie versus a 6lber is eye catching.
  7. Yes but the rest of know better.
  8. I have caught a lot of smallmouth since I started to fish for them but my longest is only 23" so I congratulate you.
  9. If you don't have a passport just slip over the GA/FL line. Florida has been on fire this year for DD bass.
  10. I have two I'm planning on using this summer in deeper water. I heard the early production had a problem with split rings but that they corrected them. The owner hooks they come with are super sharp. I think most of the hits are coming on the drop as they flutter down. Let's know how you do with them. I'll do the same when I get a chance to use them.
  11. Nice swimbait fish. You must live on a golf course in Jupiter. I'm just south of you in PBG.

  14. Fall can be great when the fish are cooperating.
  15. Check out the yellow magic popper. Available thru tw. Very good alternative popper. It's has caught some big fish.
  16. You don't want to lip a 6lb smallie that has choked down a pointer 128 with three trebles. Trust me.
  17. NRX 804C JWR paired with a Calais 200DC and spooled with Sunline Derier Armilo in 22lb.
  18. Very gutsy sir. Looks like a job well done.
  19. With smallies we always net them & then grab them with the boga to unhook them. That way you get a quick weight if you want to know how big. Dinks I just grab the line ahead of the bait then boga them. A little precaution goes a long way.
  20. Better stick with "The Psychiatrist"
  21. I would buy the titanic and take you all fishing on Lake Erie.
  22. Why don't you just go to straight braid on the one rod & use it for your frogs & topwater. If you want to use it for drop shots just use a swivel & floro leader.
  23. And who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
  24. Three group 31 batteries & my onboard charger. There isn't room for anything else.
