  2. Hey we all know that Jeff is a jack of all tools.
  3. My biggest largemouth 11-2oz & smallmouth 7-6oz.
  4. Ok here is the breakdown-Thanks to Goose Setting 1=18-30 grams which equals .63-1.058 ounces Setting 2=10-20 grams which equals .35-.705 ounces Setting 3=8-12 grams which equals .28-.42 ounces Setting 4=5-8 grams which equals.17-.28 ounces So bottom line this reel will cast 3/16 oz baits on up thru 1 oz depending on the setting you chose. If you don't want to mess with 1-4 settings just set the reel on A for automatic.
  5. 32. I have a new fish PB
  6. What's light for you? Lets talk weights. The met DC has an automatic setting and 4 different settings for weight.
  7. I know you asked about plastics but if you really want to target smallies I would be throwing some jerkbaits. With water clarity like that you could clean up.
  8. Frank Campbell runs Niagara region charter service.
  9. That's a really happy ending to what could have been a game changer. He must be one really tough & determined individual.
  10. For me the dc reels help the most when I am flinging a bait for distance. They also aid casting into the wind. If you are casting for accuracy with controlled arm movement they allow you cast without using any thumbing. Best part of using one is the whirling noise that accompanies every cast.
  11. Lots of them have in Michigan.
  12. Just for your info $270.40 JDM for 2013 Met & $369.60 JDM for 2015 Met DC at JLS
  13. Terrible news. Prayers sent for him and his family.
  14. I have been obsessed with a big eight lb smallie (8lb-10 oz) for about ten years now. I often daydream about her visiting my boat. I plan & scheme about how when & where to catch her. So far she has eluded me but I'm still trying. Maybe one day. On another front I have a buddy who has hooked & seen a GA pig not once but twice. First time he hooked her he was fishing a big farm pond with another mutual buddy. He was fishing a wacky senko fishing a tree blowdown in deep water just off the pond dam side. When he hooked her she bulldogged deep for a while & then made a dash to the surface. She jumped boatside for both of them to see. They both estimated she had to go 12 or 13 lbs. Both of these guys have landed 8lb & 9lb bass respectively so they have an idea of actual size. After jumping the hooked pulled loose and that was that. They both promised not to tell anyone else but me. Six months passed & they both decided to try again. Lighting stuck twice & the same buddy hooked another giant in the same spot fishing a wacky senko. Similar fight as the first time. Once again she jumped & they both swore it had to be the same fish. My buddy continued to coax her near the boat but she pulled free for the second time. The guy that hooked her just sat in a heap dumbfounded. I chastised him for loosing the same big fish twice. Believe it or not he has hardly fished for her again. I know that fish has haunted him ever since he hooked her the first time.
  15. Largest of the weasel family. Fascinating creatures.
  16. Great lakes frozen at 88.8% with a possibility of breaking the all time record within the next two weeks. Last year at the same date the percentage was 85%.
  17. Jeff is a pretty good stick. But I gotta tell you the man really knows how to trap. Amazing pictures he sends me.

  19. Same blank just different guides & handle configuration. Supposed to be less tip heavy.
  20. . If all the fish in your lake are stunted you & others need to take all bass under 15" out until a balance is achieved.
  21. A drain is having to pay to fill my 52 gallon gas tank. A ditch is trying to get out of having to do it. A draw is an attempt to split the costs.
  22. Amazing!
  23. I heard him say it on TV during an interview. Straight from the horses mouth.
