  1. I have fished 2,4,13,21,53, & 98. I'm 15 minutes from 4.
  2. Geez between the hat & T shirt all the clothing I will need to buy is the pants.
  3. I enjoyed it but my wife didn't find it very humorous.
  4. Pete 1988 time frame most have been pretty special on Pickwick.
  5. Take your own reels that way you know the line is fresh but use his rods.
  6. I'm in the camp that color only matters when it increases or decreases visibility. Rolo's comment about fish being color blind is closer to reality than not. Studies I have seen in the infisherman suggest fish do not see color like we do. And their range of color is greatly inferior to the human eye. Maybe they are color blind & only react to shades of certain colors. Fun topic.
  7. If you young guys don't want to fish with us old guys because we are too grumpy it's ok. It will just leave that many more fish for us.
  8. Try a light weight titanium leader made by Finn-Tastic. You can change out the front snap with the snap of your choice if you don't like the one it comes with. The single strand is very minimal in size & diameter. http://www.jacksonlures.com/Commerce2/finnleaders.htm
  9. My best single day did involve two pb's at the time. Here are my best five fish caught in one day at lake baccarac this last March. It's hard to forget a day when you seemingly can not do any wrong.
  10. Thanks for sharing & I wish you the best with your situation. Your attitude is remarkable.
  11. You could weight them in a plastic bag rather than change out the hook. Your other choice is pick up a big saltwater hook & cut off the point & barb and file it smooth.
  12. How old is reel old geezer?
  13. You got my sympathy with that comment.
  14. And another good tip.
  15. Roger it consistently hits 17-20 feet. As always each bait runs a little differently in action and depth. I caught my first couple of 5lbers & my very first 6lber on that exact bait about eight years ago. They get hit the most when they are at depth & suspending without hardly any forward motion. The pause right after a long pull does it best. My buddy Roy caught this 7-1oz beauty on that same bait. The glass perch looks very much like a perch & we all know there are millions of those swimming in lake erie waters.
  16. Merry Christmas to you Goose. You are going to love it.
  17. Have you guys ever seen or heard of water dogs or mud puppies? I had one surface next to my boat in 15 fow in Lake Erie. It looked like it was 18" long. They look wierd because of their exposed gills.
  18. I'm only 65 soon to 66. Dinky is pretty old.
  19. I guess I have jinxed my self from having taken a couple of good pics over the years. Especially someone elses PB. Oh well that's what buds are for.
  20. Yea you kept me so busy photographing your fish I didn't get to cast for about 15 minutes!
  21. Send it south & I'll get it wet for you. Sweet looking bait.
  22. DHJ12 Rapala in glass perch has put more smallmouth in my boat than any other jerkbait I have ever fished. Period.
  23. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to all.
  24. Merry Christmas Stitch & Kit. I sure there are two pb's coming up for you.
  25. Jeff's total for the year was 453 bass x.50= $226.50. I just submitted my matching donation.
