  1. I use both. Baitcaster probably 60% & spinner 40%. Jigs, drop shot & jigging spoons & blades on spinning. Everthing else, mostly jerkbaits on casting gear.

  4. You might consider the weight difference for balancing each rod. The core is 5.5 oz & the type R is 8.5 oz.
  5. I'm pretty sure the string trick is for single hooks. You did the right thing by getting professional help with that one considering the proximity to your eye.

  11. I use jerkbaits all year. A lot of guys prefer to use them under cold water conditions. Fish do seem to prefer certain size baits and actions throughout the year.
