They love spinner baits down in Florida.

First time I saw it and I'm 65.

My average day on Lake Erie prespawn is probably 5-10 fish. I have had a few magical days where the numbers went way up and included good quality with good quantity.

Simple answer is stick baits for prespawn & crankbaits for postspawn.

No loss of manhood if they all were over 5lbs.

That's a good start.

I'm not sure but the stock factory bearings in your TE's are a good quality bearing to start with. The upper end reels already have good quality componets so an upgrade might not be very noticable. Yes on the silver ones maybe not on the TE. Ask your service guy what his recommendation is.

I have the 7' MM & the 7' HM. The medium handles the light stuff & I use the heavy to handle everything else including deep divers. The MM is rated for 1/4 to 5/8. The MH is rated 3/8 to 1oz. The HM is rated 1/2 to 1 & 3/8. You can probably exceed all those rating a little if you need to. The croixs always have a little extra beef to their ratings. Good luck with the new rod.
