  1. With all of the thought process & planning I'm almost afraid of what you might dredge up. New Michigan PB lookout here comes A-Jay. Good luck.
  2. Queen-we are the champions
  3. #11 No man shall hold his fish away from his body for a picture unless said fish is already a monster.
  4. Jeff I never realized you had such a soft side. Nice work bud.
  5. Great fish and an awesome picture.
  6. I'm in. You got my support & interest. Just go for it. I'm sure we will all learn from it .
  7. We use 10 lb braid usually suffix 832 or suffix performance braid but any braid will work. The 10 lb braid get the baits down deeper and is adequate strength.
  8. Hey Jeff why don't you send that my way & I'll get some smallie slime on it for ya.
  9. You are a bad man!
  10. A-Jay headed over to help get me dialed in on the smallies. We faced cold temps & extremely dirty water from a very unfriendly windy April. A-Jay managed to get a new PB despite the conditions. Another friend who saw his PB largemouth & and his PB smallie pictures nicknamed him big fish Andy. The smallies were tight to the bottom most days & negated the jerk bait bite effectiveness. As the water cleared & warmed the fish moved shallower & started to suspend. After A-Jay left another pair or buddies took over where A-Jay left off. We found a good bite going in a remote location without all the boat traffic and started to lick our chops. Then the dreaded east wind afternoon pattern started. It lasted for about five days . Off shore southenly winds changing to stiff east wind in the afternoon which shut the bite off liked someone hit a light switch. We still managed to have fun & catch some nice smallies.
  11. Try a rat trap with corn & peanut butter. Just set the traps where the dogs are not.
  12. Hey Steve who irons your shirts? Sweet bass as always.
  13. Amen to that. Glad you got out.
  14. Very nice. Sometimes getting a good picture is actually more difficult than catching the smallie in the first place.
  15. Congrats on the new PB.
  16. Sweet catch. Congrats.
  17. That is a sweet PB for sure. Congrats Steve. Just goes to show a little boat can catch some nice big fish.
  18. Nice rig Lee. Best of luck on the roadtrip.
  19. Beautiful fish & I love that picture.
  20. WTG. Great fish especially the wife's PB.
  21. Sweet. Congrats on the new PB.
  22. Here's my first entry - 6lb 8 oz smb, Monday April 22, Lake Erie - in PA waters. 6 lbs 8 ounces for a total of 104 ounces. PA state record SMB: 8lb 8oz or 136 oz. 104 / 136 = .7647 x 100 = 76.47% Sorry A-Jay. There are a few more days left for upgrades on this trip.
