  1. And if they don't, their posts are quickly deleted by site staff to maintain the illusion that we're all one big happy family. I spend a good bit of time here, and overall I enjoy the site and forum, but this is quite possibly the most over-moderated site I've ever visited on a regular basis.
  2. FWIW, a 5" Senko weighs roughly the same as a 7" Power Worm, 3/0 EWG hook, and 1/8 oz. bullet weight...~3/8 oz.
  3. Comcast has them all available "On Demand" as well, including the season two premier. I wasn't able to catch it last night so I watched it this morning instead. Senkoman12, if you bailed out at 10 then you missed one of the most critical parts of the episode.
  4. Yup. I got to the part about Facebook and just closed the window. I don't have a FB account, and don't want one.
  5. Bingo. Don't take this the wrong way, but IMO if you have to finance it, you can't afford it. Debt is the devil.
  6. When you can look back on your life and accept responsibility for the stupid things you did when you were young without attempting to rationalize your behavior, and realize just how lucky you are to not be either incarcerated or dead.
  7. The Mojo, Premier, and Triumph are pretty much the same blank, but the rest of the components may vary a bit from one model to the next. They're not necessarily bad rods, but I think there are definitely lighter and more sensitive rods out there for the same price.
  8. Lol, that's like saying the Pope is a bit religious. I dig her. She's kinda like a freakier version of my wife...and I really can't find fault with that.
  9. As much as I'd hate to dissuade someone from pursuing their goal, I'd strongly suggest doing a good bit of research into careers in that field...in the US. I was working for one of the largest specialty metal producers in the world (at the time), and when the market tanked in '99, it hit us hard. A large chunk of our workforce went out the door, and I don't believe the company ever fully recovered. We made and formed tungsten, tungsten carbide powder, molybdenum, moly-copper, moly-gold, halfnium, chromium, nickle-titanium, densalloy, etc. and it wound up being cheaper to buy finished products from overseas than to manufacture them here.
  10. This is sound advice. Knock out your core classes at a community college, save a bunch of cash, and pad you academic resume with whatever extracurricular activities and groups you think will help you get into the other schools. It'll also give you a chance to network with professors who may have connections in your future field. Connections can be far, FAR more valuable than grades when it comes to landing a job.
  11. Hell, I thought he had crabs.
  12. I spent quite a few years doing welding, fabrication, metal forming, aircraft structural repair, and even worked as a machinist for a while, and in all of those shops texting was a much better option for conversing than a phone call. With the background noise and the inability to walk away from the job to step outside, it was pretty much the only way to communicate with me during the day.
  13. Keep an eye on that seller's auctions because they're always having sales like that. They're great people to deal with as well, and will have your rod to you in record time since they're just a few hours away in the B'ham area.
  14. Imho, there are so many other options, that unless you're just in love with Apple products there are generally better options available. http://anythingbutipod.com/ I will admit that I recently bought the wife a new Nano for Mother's Day, but that's only because the radio in her car has iPod integration, allowing here to control most of the features thru the steering wheel-mounted controls.
  15. Word is that Apple is getting ready to drop the iPod Classic and Shuffle, and there have been rumors of them dropping the iPod line entirely. Last report I read said something along the lines of iPods only making up about 7% of Apples revenue now, and with the iPhone and iPad doing everything the iPod did (and more) there's not enough $$ in it anymore. http://www.fastcompany.com/1781750/apple-should-kill-the-ipod
  16. I'd take a Patriarch of any flavor over any variant of the Curado.
  17. That's not funny at all.
  18. I think it might have something to do with their compulsory military service. All Israeli citizens over 18 have to enlist, so they get the good looking "girly girls" that wouldn't have enlisted otherwise.
  19. I spent part of this morning at the Sheriff's Office and saw more than my share of..ahem..."husky" deputies. As long as they can still get the job done, rock on.
  20. I think BPS changes their site every now and then just so they have a reason to delete some of the negative product reviews. "Oh, it must've been lost during the upgrades."
  21. They're at the Atlanta BPS. I tend to be in a hurry when I'm there, so I just hold my hand up and say "No thanks" as I'm walking by. As Sfritr pointed out, they're just people trying to make a buck, so there's no reason to be disrespectful.
  22. X2 I'm not complaining, though. The one from Singapore is hot.
  23. x2 I've had good luck with Dell laptops for the past several years, and I can buy them online. They also have sales and clearance models that you probably won't see in a local store. The one I'm using right now was about $100 cheaper than the other comparable Dell laptops of the same model because it's orange.
  24. x2 Luckily, the bass don't read the same magazines and message boards as the fisherman. If they did they'd know how outdated these worms are and how uncool it would be to eat them.
