Reaction Strike Does it Again
that is not even close to a knock off it looks a lot different and is a different size just because it is meant to imitate the same fish doesn't mean its a knock off. the TT and spro looked a lot like the kicktail minnow it doesn't mean they knocked it off. yes reaction strike makes baits that are at at least really close to knock offs not every one of their baits is one. You can only make a fish so many different ways

Matt Lures Baby Bass Series
Glad you mentioned this. I like "playing" with my fish for a few minutes. My strongest rod is a 7'ML. Everything else is 6' "L"'. If I get a Spro or TT hard 4" swimbait, will I be allowed to "play" with the first for a minute before landing, or are these baits designed to be used with much heavier rods? you might be ok with the TT i hear it is really small but if i were you i would get a m rod its a good all around action or at least a med, im guessing your using a spinning rod and im sure a m action will throw the spro or TT. if you want to throw the baby bass i would get a MH baitcaster setup

Matt Lures Baby Bass Series
great lure and i have used it alot last year in shallow water so i know it works. And follow the directions on matts site to keep them in good shape they will last a long time. This is a great starter swimbait and really isn't very big when you see it in person

Swimbait dillema
if you fish them they will come try a mattlures baby bass not as expensive and a little smaller might help get more strikes and don't have to worry as much about losing it.

glueing ripped swimbaits
you can melt them back together. there are some special tools for it that make it real easy on the fly or you can do what i used to keep all the beat up ones and at the end of the day heat up a paper clip and slide it through the tears. I don't know about regular super glue might harden to much or not dry quick enough

A little help picking a good all around reel
ok so i think between the curado and citica i would probably go for the curado since it sounds like its a little better and probably worth the extra. Now between the curado and the revo sx which would be better? say the same gear ratio and that type of stuff. What is the better one for casting especially light lures and which is going to last and hold up longer?

A little help picking a good all around reel
im looking for a good all around reel in the 100-150 range. Right now im thinking the revo sx, curado e, or citica e. First is it it worth the extra money to go to the curado? really what i want to know is what one is the best? I want to use it mainly for weightless senko type baits and small trigs but would also like to be able to throw a frog into the thick stuff and maybe some small jigs. Just want some opinions.

Soft body swimbaits
a great starter is the mattlures baby bass but there are a ton of choices out there and a mission fish won't get hung up as much

Protecting crankbait finish.......
you can put a light coat of devcon 2-ton epoxy and that should help but i don't put any extra on i don't think the paint will matter that much most of the time on a crankbait

Mattlures softplastic bluegills?
i dont have the bluegills but i have a couple bass and they can be fixed with a little glue or melted back together

-
Big Bucktails
thanks for the tip, is it the same that is on double cowgirls?
-
Big Bucktails
i dont know the weight on them i just add until i think its good im not very exact. its flashabou (i think is what its called) on the left one im guessing its pretty much the same as tinsel.

TOP FISH YOU'VE NEVER CAUGHT
1-9 musky 10 smallmouth

Big Bucktails
To give you an idea on size the chartreuse blade on the right completly covers the head section of a mattlures hardgill

Fireline vs. Braid
i love fireline on spinning reals its the only thing i will use. that being said i dont like it on baitcasting and i dont fish around rocks. but for spinning in weeds and around pike i wouldnt use anything else. i used to lose alot of baits to pike and getting fish down in the weeds when using mono. its great for spinning because it doesnt have the memory that mono and other lines like it do making it really hard to even to try and use it.
